When you get excited to work on a project but lose motivation halfway then finally finish it:
Good lord, finally.
It’s taken me so long to make this. Months of on/off working, revising, mixing, and mastering have finally culminated in a song I think fit to celebrate my tiny channel hitting 100 subscribers. A small milestone for many, but the amount of love and support my work has seen in the past year and a half(ish?) of uploading music can’t be overstated. I want to wholeheartedly thank every single person who’s taken the time to leave a nice message. Thank you so much :D
I’ve named the song “Centuria - The High of Creation” and since you’re down here reading this I could talk a bit about it because I really want to. “Centuria” is a name I thought fitting to represent the 100 sub milestone song. “The High of Creation” can mean a few things. I believe this song is the pinnacle of my experience in music production and it’s by far my most involved (and longest) to date. The song is also about the act of creating and making new things and how it can feel so fun in the moment, but larger projects can also be discouraging and that high that’s motivated you throughout can leave you. There was definitely a point at which I considered leaving the song on the cutting room floor, unfinished for good. Despite everything, I pushed through for you guys, because I thought you’d really enjoy it, and I proved to myself that I can finish a song of this magnitude. The beginning of the song (post-intro) is also very much a callback to HI Energy, the first song that really started getting attention on my channel.
For at least a while, I think I’m gonna try making smaller songs. Might upload a beepbox song or two. I could even do some covers? Would y'all wanna see that?

OK now after giving this a good 20 views I can say a frickin love this song. The title of the video and your title for the song (Centuria - The High of Creation) is so cool and really represents the song. It feels like this song was made for the purpose of this metaphor which i have a feeling it wasn't and you re writ it or added on to it. The high of the creation/motivation is a very basic feeling to recreate with music but I like to think of the second drop as the release of a project. Burnout being represented as a slow and solemn melody fits perfectly because it isn't a sad feeling but its just almost a nothing. it feels like you gain nothing from working on the project in a way and i feel like that melody is a really good representation. also I just like the music in all sections like the chord proggressions go so hard. peak cinema 10/10 on IMDB

YESS, CRISMAS CAME EARLY burnout + motivation is like the worst combination ever. I have only finished around 4 of my MANY progects I work on and two of those are my youtube videos. recently I started charting a song in a rhythm game and lost motivation halfway through. It also happens with piano a lot but I started a humongous song on that about a few months ago and still havent lost motivation, it might have to do with constantly learning stuff. on the topic of what you are going to do next. do whatever you want, as long as your having fun making music thats what a hobby is for nessasarly. I already like you style a lot so I think I can enjoy it either way.
oh yea I also like the sections of this music v.s a whole body. I guess that comes with a longer song but it really adds to the progression.
ok I keep on having to add to this but also the push through the low I have felt is worth it because often the finshed progect is something im proud of beyond belief.
SO glad to see you put this out finally, I know you were heavily debating leaving it in the dust but to see it come out and with absolutely wonderful visuals is SO amazing. Proud of you :D

Commenting cause im coming back to this all over again LOL, I’m planning on trying to get my creative juices flowing and figured I’d pop in here to try and get some inspiration rolling or some sort of creative flow going for when I do experimentation tonight. Chiptune esc songs are such a fascinating thing to me cause I do mostly ambient and ambient dnb (soon branching into breakcore).
