If the dude had modern day technology, and knew how to use it, imagine what kind of incredible stuff he could have made because even before the technology of today, he managed to make this

that astronomer just got rekt. that moon is mlg
It has a very 1890's flavor. Creepy moons like this were on some consumer items and some of the songs like "I'm in love with the man in the Moon" also have a similar theme. Great!
cool
I really need to see/read Huge myself, considering how much I love the work of Melies. But then I keep getting caught up in these old movies.
This could be the 1st silent film in color. Interesting. The history of cinema
Hey, what's the music?
I read Hugo
that moon is sooooooo creepy!
His body alignment and the way he was able to match the positions from shot to shot is the most amazing part of this video.
Well, not everyone has your life experience or exposure to cinema history. The fact that people watched Hugo and wanted to know more about George Melies is only a positive thing to keep his legacy alive.
I apreciate that you post this video on TH-cam. Thank you!
esses efeitos especiais que melies inventou eu vejo até nos dias de hoje nos episódios do Chaves :D
wtf with the music
I hate the fact Hugo made George Melies popular. People should've known about him BEFORE.
This video got twice the view count after Hugo...
Nice nice!
Fantastic movie! I like the kick at the end the most,
I am so glad I watched Hugo, this was an awesome discovery
This uploaded version is really baaad - originaly it's real moving movie. Find another uploaded version, this sucks
Sooooooo...It was a movie right?
these turn of the century (or earlier) silent films are the real "terrifying-as-your-worst-nightmares" deal. compared 2 today's typical horror films, they should be XXX plus NG (seriously mind-screwing hard-core="nightmares guaranteed".) 2day's "scary" movies r now churned out factory-style fast as the money lets them, & nearly identical in all ways. cookie-cutter films result that r as boring & bad as they're interchangeable--cliched characters, plot, endings, etc.THIS is an example of terror.
this is what you call 1 frames per second
THese films scare me.......dunno why !!!??
Is this the original frame rate? If not, could anyone possibly please direct me to a copy at the correct speed. Loved the music, by the way.
this could be a creepypasta, perfectly
@Audioskore its got quite a bit of lag. have you tried re uploading it?
Looks like I'm lost in the black and white side of youtube again.
Me Gusta. 2:47
THAT WAS FREAKING SCARY!!!
@joeisamac1195 LMFAO omg your comment is too funny..lol

this is some trippy shit..my mom walked in the room and said ” what the fuck, are you doing drugs?” the fucked up thing is my mom died 4 years ago and I don’t even even have a computer
Holy shit this is scary.
@gentlerat Yup. It takes a rocket to the eye! :P
What just happened... I'm so confused... That moon has derpy eyes...
so lagging isn't anything new...

Classic and short enough but....is there a plot or story to this????
........THAT'S OKAY. I WASN'T PLANNING ON SLEEPING TONIGHT, ANYWAYS.
@deltaleader37 So we all know what happens to the moon after this.
Haha so trippy!
...WHAT...THE...FUCK?
Hugo made me really love and respect georges melies. It really showed how awesome he was in the film industry
The Invention Of Hugo Cabret taught me alot about these movies and that georges melies was a magician :)
