That dent in the barlow bolster would drive me crazy. It would have to go in to Case for repair. Sweet looking trapper. One of my trappers has jigged dents in it. They're minor enough where I can live with it. I point it out in my video. Congratulations on your new son on the way.

That Barlow from Harold is a beaut man!! To me, and I could be wrong, it looks like someone probably burned it when they were polishing the bolster (not enough polish on the wheel will burn the metal). And then they went back and sanded the bolster in that area before polishing again…leaving a low spot in the bolster. I bet I could sand and polish that out of the bolster for you if you ever wanted. Congrats on the new addition! My wife and I just found out that we’re expecting again 😬

That’s a great knife Travis. Can’t beat em, and look at them tiners. I’m thinking the pivot pin hole in the sheep’s foot was drilled off center, so the blade is allowing the spring to come up higher, may just be an issue of replacing that blade. Prayers for your family brother.
