I love the shot where all the husks and cobs are flying put of that blower, that thing is pretty sweet, would love to have one.
That is incredibly cool. Corn picking rules. And look at all of it! The lift on the tractor to tip the wagons is very neat. This beats today’s push-button farming by a long shot.
0:19 Love the little farm house with brown shingle siding. We had one across from us, and a garage is still there with the same siding!
Man, that wagon lift is neat. What powered it? People with a hand crank? Corn picking is the best.
What a great looking family. Riding in & on the harvester looks like a lot of fun. And those family picnics! I miss those.
Love the small TV on top of the console TV tuned to the same channel.
Love the tractor hood ride.
That's the life.
Would tony come up with that
Smack
1:17 Is that a harrow used to weed a corn field?
Man, carrying those bundles up to the roof!
Somebody enjoyed making giants heads.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a corn picker that worked the left side of the tractor.
Gorgeous trucks.
I like that the corn crib is larger than the bin.
It's great that someone had a movie camera and shot so much great footage over the years. My watchlist just grew by a bunch!
Great looking footage and machinery! Too bad about all the light leakage in the film, but it certainly does add character.
Love these videos were real farmers back then
Thankyou Steve for such wonderful old movies, I grew up on a farm with two cylinder John Deeres . Great times for your family and mine,...God Bless.
🐱
Nice.
Curious if they left the corn in a pile until spring when a custom sheller showed up? I worked for a guy who picked corn until 2000 when he sold the milk cows. After that he bought a new 6 row planter and a started using a combine for the corn. We had corn cribs for all of it. I still pick corn for my steers. I have a sheller if I have extra to sell or to shell for the sheep.
Possibly a John deere farm.
That is the.same.setup my.dad had back in the 40,s. 50,s. .and 60,s the same lift for to raise the.wsgon. same type of.elevator. we had a.john deere.b and a John deere a and.later a.john deere 70 gas. My dad.passed away in 1963 and all the.goòd time s ended. 3:37
Nice video of times gone by, when neighbors would help one another and not worry about getting more land for themselves after a farmers failure.
They were in good shape, no big belly's.
Nice
Nice
What a wonderful.memory
When I watch videos like this I always see one thing in common, no matter how hard they are working they are always smiling! 😀
Where was this at ?
Probably in the Midwest is my idea.
These people knew what hard work was. I’m glad we don’t have to work like that anymore. But we need to see videos like this so we can appreciate how good we have it now.
Our country would be in much better shape if more of us *did* have to work this hard every day. Kids couldn’t sit around playing video games all day, and adults who should know better couldn’t lay around smoking dope all day.
Feeding, feeding, cattle cattle
In our area there are not even enough neighbors left to help....
no wonder, the farms are very big today.
This one is my favorite

Thanks for posting this. We went on a family vacation to visit my grandparents in California in the summer of 1967. Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, the beach….. brought back memories 😊

Years ago about all Hereford nowadays all black Angus at least here in N.W. Missouri.
Wedding lovers... God so loved the world that He gave His only Son (Jesus Christ) that whoever believes in Him will not die but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Receive Christ and believe today the consequences are eternal!
Aw the good Ole days
These videos are great where were they shot at Mr Grenzow
In one of the other videos they are hauling cattle to Omaha. My guess would be somewhere within a hundred mile radius of Omaha judging from the truck they were using.
I was the age of that littlest boy in 1949. I would ride in the wagon while Dad was picking corn
