If you can spend Rs 1000, I recommend extending it a little further and buying Iroshizuku inks. These are damn good inks. Else, for regular use in Cello and Parker fountain pens, there are plenty of good inks around Rs 500 like Pilot, Waterman, Pelikan, Diamine, Krishna etc. All these are very good inks and provide a very good experience for the price. For Rs 1000, Pilot Kakuno is one of the best fountain pens. I have already made a video on it. Hope it helps. Thank you. Happy Writing 🙂

Where and when did you buy the pens? I also got this pen at a shop at Rs 150 only, online prices are always very high.

@penterest I Baught this pen 2 months back from an store in Kerala. Mine is not an piston filler. It had lamy type converter, I now use it as an eye dropper fountain pen. Also mine fountain pens cap is not threaded. Extra fine nib. After I converted it to an eye dropper the pen is wet it feels good. Also the quality is good,I Baught 3 when later visited the shop alp stocks finished.

I haven't faced any such problem so far, but yes, there are many instances of fake products being supplied. It is always better to order from trusted sellers only.

Regarding the smoothness, Kanwrite nibs are better in general, but the President nib is also not far behind.

Comparing Royal Blue inks from both the brands, I can say that Bril ink has few advantages like: (1) It doesn't feather or bleed even on low quality papers which makes it an excellent choice for daily use, (2) The glass bottle of Bril is far superior to the plastic bottle of Camlin, (3) Ink flow is better than Camlin. (4) It is less likely to clog the pen. However, the Camlin also has few advantages like: (1) The colour is more vibrant than Bril. Bril looks very pale in comparison to Camlin, (2) Camlin inks are easily available, that is not the case with Bril inks. Don't use new Camlin inks which are coming in plastic bottles. They are not good compared to the previous ones. Also brill blue is better than Parker for normal writing but it will fade alot with time.

For their prices, yes. For the overall writing experience, not much. Both are muted colours, both fade over time. (Bril Royal Blue vs Parker Quink Blue)

Namaskar. Welcome to the Penterest family. Eye dropper fountain pens, irrespective of the feed material, are prone to burp, especially when the ink level is low. To avoid the problem, it is advised to keep the barrel (at least half of it) always filled with ink. 1-2 drops of onk leakage is okay, anything more than that requires a thorough inspection of the pen. Royal Blue remains the same, Fractal Blue fades slightly, definitely not like Parker Quink Blue ink.

If there are solid particles in Parker or Camlin ink then it's mold. You need to throw away those inks as they will ruin the pen if used.

Which pen(s) with fine nibs are you using? Maybe your pen is a wet writer too. I'm sorry this is happening with you.

Though Classmate Notebooks are not famous for its fountain pen friendliness, I found it good enough for regular use. Moreover, it is cheap and easily available almost everywhere; many of us are familiar with it. That's why I use this notebook in my videos so that people can easily relate with the result. Besides the pen and paper, ink does play a huge role for "neat & clean" writing. In general, dry inks (like Sulekha Sampurna Ma) or iron gall inks (like Pelikan 4001 Blue-Black) perform very well on regular papers, it does not necessarily depend on the brand name. For example, high quality inks like Pilot Iroshizuku or Waterman Inspired Blue can feather or bleed a lot on regular papers. Hope it helps. Thank you. Happy Writing 🙂
