You can use open-source alternatives to publish, which have much more customization options. I'd go with Obsidian Publish if you want it published with no scripts involved. If you'd like to customize, please have a look at Quartz. It's awesome. I'm using it to publish my second brain, and coincidentally, I created a video to showcase this, too. Not only one click of a button, but just one command away from the terminal. I use `make deploy` to deploy my website with beautiful rsync as it's just static HTMLs :)

You have an advantage here that might be worth exploring. SQL has a lot of syntaxes that do exactly the same thing. Maybe you could choose a syntax subset that has feature identity. Most code using your module would be new, meaning the dev can simply stick go your subset. In the rare case where existing SQL is copied in; it can be fixed up by the dev at that time. Two examples: you can make yours case sensitive, and you could require table aliases (trust me, this will make semantic analysis significantly easier - SQL is rife with ambiguity).
