Great interviewer, asked all the perfect questions.
Next time, please do not hide your guests face behind the mic... ;-)
Looking sissy as always Kevin
HAHAHAHAAHAH
The Chosen is one of the first films where I had to look at the credits to find the Cinematographer (first thing) -- it also has great directorship, writing, sound / music and actors (and more); again the cinematography is the first thing I noticed though -- please finish out the series, and I look forward to future films as well. And I'm going to check out past films too, great interview BTW.
Thanks for your kind words! I’m glad you noticed the cinematography-it’s always great when the visuals make such an impact. Hope you enjoy exploring our past films too!
Great interview. I can't get past the fact that the mic was in his face the entire time.
I appreciate the feedback! I’ll make sure to adjust the mic placement next time 😅
Such a great interview from both of y’all! Learned a lot, yall keep up the great work!
Thanks so much! We’re glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful.
Awesome!
Thank you!!
That's our guy!
Yes!!
Akis, you are brilliant! So appreciate your contribution to THE CHOSEN. It wouldn't be the same without YOU!😊
Thank you so much!
Wonderful interview. Very informative and interesting. One thing. The mic could have been pulled down a bit so we could see him.
Thanks for the input! I’ll make sure to adjust the mic positioning in future interviews.
My ass thought he bought a company for 3 dollars and 50 cents 💀
Haha, that would’ve been quite the deal! Thanks for your comment!
Terrific interview! Akis is remarkably talented and this was a treat to hear how he approaches the challenges of shooting The Chosen. Wish I could ask him how he filmed the scene in Season 3 when Jesus feels the power leaving him as Veronica touches the tzitzits and is healed. Was it a wide angle zoom lens that was zoomed in? The photography perfectly captured that moment.
Thanks for the compliment! I’ll pass on your question about the scene to Akis-he’ll appreciate the interest!

Your space looks beautiful.
Thank you! We’re really pleased with how it turned out.
20:37 Lara Woodhull talks about her first lead role of the anime called "A Sign of affection"
Thank y'all for this interview. Learning about the behind the scenes details is fascinating, especially when it is about animes I like.
Thank you so much!
Only one thing I wish that I had expanded upon was my daily routine. Auditions come in at all times of the day, so I am constantly checking and submitting as quickly as I can when I can. The 15 minutes was how long I had worked that morning before the interview. 😅
What you discussed was more than enough. Very thorough as is. PS: as a HUGE fan of A Sign of Affection, thank you for discussing it and for your contribution. You really read Yuki like a book and voiced her perfectly! I also want to give a shout out📣 to all of the other great VA's in that show. Y'all made it my #2 anime of all time. Thank you sooo much😍.
Ah yes just don’t eat for several months at a time so you can gain the experience to get money makes sense
I’d love to get a gig as someone else’s editor, creator or something but that too is incredibly saturated. You guys are talking about saturation right now and you are on the money. Standing out is difficult. 90% of TH-cam vids don’t even make 1,000 views as of 2020 and shorts seem to be stopping at 400-450 for a lot of creators too, just because of testing on audiences, but it is frustrating when you make something and it’s de*d in the water 5 days later 😂 the struggle is real. Great video
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It’s definitely a challenge to stand out in such a saturated space. Keep pushing through-your work will find its audience. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Imteresting perspectives
Thank you so much!
Appreciate you guys having me on!
this should have way more views, loved it
Thanks, we appreciate the love! Not to be biased or anything, but many more insightful conversations can be found on our channel 😉 ~Bella
Thanks for the conversations we need in this world right now !!!
It was our pleasure. As people in the industry, we knew we couldn't let this topic slide without talking about it. What are your thoughts on Sora AI? -Joey
Was BLown away when Mkbhd even mentioned about it.. it isnt just Sora but the whole ecosystem of tech changing around us, which is baffling and scary at the same moment. Bring in more topics and insights as new tech or ai ecosystems will be the necessity in the future@@theroughcutclub
You remind me of Shia Labeouf
lmao, its not the first time Joey's heard that! Hope you enjoyed the episode ^^ ~Bella
great episode! blessings!
Thank you for the love!!
dope episode! blessings!
Thanks man 🔥
thank you guys so much for having me on was a blast!
Excuse my ignorance but what is 'DP'?
A director of photography on a film project. Also known as a cinematographer.
@@TheJELvlogs thank you. I was waaaay off with my guess, deputy producer
Though true, writers do the same with each others work.
Facts 🔥
Thank you TRCC for this amazing interview. I always look up to Barton for work inspiration and how to be a leader and Getting to know more about him through this interview was a one hour of pure bliss. Looking forward to more of this type of heart to heart conversation/interview.
Thanks for the feedback!! We’re glad you enjoyed it 🔥
This is the advantage when you have an artist as a CEO, DAMER is an incredible artist with a deep vision in the industry of motion design, THANKS a lot guys for this amazing interview ;)
Well said!
A great story and journey that many of us in the industry can relate to. What is so special about sharing this story is the knowledge and inspiration that will reach those just on the outside of the industry who are looking to get in! Awesome work fellas, keep uniting the network!
Thank you! We appreciate it! 🔥🙌
I love Parker's story! it's very much the same path I'm going down now right here in Dallas as well. I'm Currently an operation manager at a sports production company that partners with local high school in DFW to teach the broadcast and film kids how a real world broadcast works and get them actual resume building and networking experience to move forward in the industry with. Can't wait to hear more podcasts from yall!
That’s amazing man! 🔥🙌 Thanks for tuning in!!
Love it 🙌
Thanks!! 🔥🙌
Thanks again for having me on, this was such a great episode!
Thank you for being on our podcast 🔥🙌
Thank you cinemastory. Watching your team work on your passion project this weekend was truly eye opening for us. Can wait to see the finished product.
Thank you!!
Seriously cannot wait to see this in person!😮
🙌
Corey Cannon, he's the man! Smart and very talented.
🙌
$30k less....literally the same story over here! Great episode guys!
Thanks Micah! Growth is painful but in the end, the BEST. Let's go!!!
Premiere all the way. I edit similarly. I categorize everything in its own sequence. Its the best way 😆 Loving the podcast 👏🏻
Thank you!!
Love the podcast. Keep going!
Thank you for watching! Episodes every Saturday at 9am!
Damn dude. That story would be a lot more interesting if I knew what tf you were talking about
The full story is here -> th-cam.com/video/2jQXc8Ut5jk/w-d-xo.html
These stories are painful, and all-too-relatable. In film school I was part of a team doing a documentary, tasked with operating the camera for a probably-20-minute interview. It went great--until it ended and I realized I'd failed to hit the Record button.
Ouch! That stings and we've all most likely done it. Hit RECORD, confirm RECORDING. "Speeding"!
Background, lighting, everything is refined and looks beautiful as fuck. I'm in.
ha ha thanks! We hope you enjoy it!
I bet if you didn't clarify that the comment page will be asking "what does he mean by tape?.. how do you record on scotch tape?".. NBS 😂
TRUTH 🤣
I was wondering if you were going to mention what the topic was. Sounds interesting!
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it!
