Hi! I am so glad you stopped by my channel. Here, I teach you a bunch of fiber stuff. Here are some of the projects we have done here: making thread out of pineapple, making a finished piece from dog hair, and a collab with the wonderful Ewenique Astrid! Thanks for stopping by and make sure to like and subscribe!

Pleats are actually difficult in my opinion. You did a great job on yours!!!
sewing is so calming… love that pattern on the linen 😻
Nice work! Herringbone is my favourite pattern, love the warm colours too.
fav channel
YESSS KAI 🔥🔥🔥
king you dropped this 👑
You need to be standing on that table, you get to the bottom of your spin and run out of height.
Congrats!! This looked like so much fun!
It was SO MUCH FUN!! Thanks so much 😁

Looks like it went well. Nice job! What kind of sheep wool did you end up washing and spinning for it? I like you warp color too and the pattern of course.
Thanks so much! We stuck with the Romney and it was still really stunning!!
Congrats on a job well done!
Thanks so much!
GO KAIIII
I still love my denim rugs. They wash really well too
😮
Looking good kiddo. Will it be a garment? Do you have a project going on the other loom as well?
@@candygrubisic It will not be a sewn garment, it will be for a sheep to shawl I am competing in in September. I am sampling the herringbone in the video. I was pre warping the loom for the competition. I wish I was warping the other loom! But both looms in the video are actually my friend’s. She is letting me bore hers for the competition 😁
What kinda fluff you got going on your spindle? Is it earmarked for anything special?
I hand dyed the fiber just as a mop for some Brazil wood (I think 😅) and it turned out REALLY pretty. Not sure what to do with it lol
@@fiberbynature Nice. I don't always have a plan for what I spin either :)
I recently saw an Angorra bunny and the fur was soo soft and silky 🥰
i love that purple!! what do you think you’ll use it for?
Beautiful stitching! ❤
Nice areas you're enjoying...looks like great weather too. What's the basket on your hip? Looks similar to our Native American ash woven baskets.
@@candygrubisic the Catskills are SOO beautiful. Weather is perfect. The basket at my hip is made by a local basket maker named Jeanne in upstate New York 😁
Perfect 😍
:0 man where ARE you???
Earth 🌍 🌎🌏
that looks so calming 🙏🙏‼️
Love the kilt and hat! I ended up with 2 whole fleeces, so this will be a new experience for me. Was able to catch the end of the sheep show but yeah the weather put a serious dampener (pun intended) on the day.
Kai, what an awesome weekend! We are always cheering for you from Michigan!
Awesome tour, thanks Kai! I wish we still had fiber festivals in Florida. I missed out on all the fun not knowing about them until after covid. And congrats again on the ribbons! You earned them!
Thanks so much for sharing! We don't have festivals like this here in my country (Spain), so I found your footage very interesting.
I was there on Saturday.
I thought you did a good job filming :) Funny...more food than fiber LOL. That was a gorgeous batt she pulled off the carder and what an awesome way to store it...very cool. So did you buy any of that chlorophyllic dye?
The food is SO underrated lol. It deserves some love. YES, I did buy the dye and I’m making a video about it sometime in June-Early July
Your kilt is amazing. I believe I saw you in the main hall on the first day of the festival.
lol not me making kissy faces at the goat as you gave it head scratches 😂😂😂 see ya soon Spindlekid!
Animals are always the highlight!! I wish I could be there this year but unfortunately there are some things that got in the way. Have a GREAT show!!
😢I❤baked beans
I wish I had half as much talent as you, Kai! Love it!
I loved your video, I haven't been to MSWF since 2015, I had gotten a beautiful Icelandic fleece there but it was so crazy hot that it was like walking on the sun- I could hear my brain fry!! 🥵😫😂
That sounds so horrible! I always change to shorts in the middle of the day 🤣
Have you tried out the Osage orange yet for yellow? Just curious because I have some I use for woodworking. Photos on the dye site of the Osage remind me of turmeric. I really like that logwood color.
I have Osage but have not tried it yet! Hoping to do lots of dye experimenting this summer. 🤞
Very interesting!
so real 🔥🔥🔥
kai i don’t know anything about spinning thread but this video was fire 🔥 :DD
this was the slayest video i ever saw 🔥🔥🔥
That color is gorgeous! Does it come out smelling like onion at all?
the color came out BEAUTIFULLY! Not at all! Very surprised, not a hi of onions
Kai this was wonderful to watch!! I remember fondly the things you sewed at Sewciety and now you are MAKING your own fabric from scratch and sewing it into a beautiful jacket. Amazing 🤩 well done
This is so interesting! I have a lot of pineapple leaves right now, I'll have to give this + your other pineapple video a try
Great job kiddo. It was good to see the rest of your process on this one. Still can't believe you wove SO MUCH fabric for it LOL.
What a great jacket! You are so talented!
That jacket is amazing! You are amazing Kai!
