let you jaw swing freely to this PLUR !
This sound vomit is celebrated as "reggae"; I'm surely no expert on reggae, that derivative and mediocre style of third-world music, but I don't think this embarrassing version of the Beatles' masterpiece is reggae at all: reggae is much slower and laid-back, with prominent bubbling bass-lines. "No Woman, No Cry" is reaggae, Bedrocks' Ob-La-Di-Ob-La-Da is .... rubbish!
THIS! Memories
Some say this was the actual first disco hit Technically making her the Queen of a disco but Donna Summer had a big large machine and resources from Casablanca to maintain an sustain hit after after award after award. Gloria had her wins but not the domination and force of Donna. But maintained her grace and Her skill like a lady
Jedna z mých nejoblíbenějších rockových skladeb - v tomto podání je bez konkurence!!!
Classic 😌👍❤️💎
This is North Korean.
Happy 60th milestone Eddie Holland is 5 of HEARTS 💜💜💜💜💜Happy Birthday to EDDIE HOLLAND Blessings and HUGS MARANATHA! 👑💜
Where's Johnny Gill track Sunshine?😢
The last hurrah. The robbery and murders of macnamara and eddie
Yup. And the last episode of NY Undercover that had an opening montage with music. Should’ve never killed Eddie
Essential Mix '95. Who remembers?
One of my earliest memories now (was about 25 at the time!)
Taped, Saturday's 2am-4am Paul Oakenfold. Blinding set!
fox and hounds
Brilliant. Love it.
I had totally forgotten about this little gem from back int day ❤ thanks
Of course the original version of "Hush" was that by Billy Joe Royal (1967). Love Affair and Deep Purple released their versions almost simultaneously in 1968, in my opinion both covers surpassing the original.
I had a Tymes album which got badly scratched that was back in the 70's, O I know what they are singing about !😭
best version trillion
this scratch version is serious :O
First time hearing this song
Wonderful B side to Ob La Di. Nice soul/ reggae outfit The Bedrocks … Chris Newman, Southampton Uk 🇬🇧
Great version of this fun number as it has soul and a great RnB boogie bass line. The Bedrocks really cracked this number with that reggae lilt to it. Fine vocalisation (s) too. Really dug it… Chris Newman, Southampton Uk 🇬🇧

Good grief another version! I grew up knowing the version by Judy Street only to find out the original was by Melinda Marx (Groucho’s daughter) then this version, THEN Judy Street and finally Soft Cell.
This got a full page ad in Billboard in June of 1970. To little avail.
Remember this from the Camden Palace what a tune - stood the test of time and surpasses a lot of the music that came in the decades after.
Oh my, that piano❤
This song is cool. As much as I love Gladys. Wanda was just dynamic on her leads.
This is Gladys.
@tonyrussi7777 no. I know it is. I'm saying I like Wanda better than Gladys. Meaning. I can see why they canned it.
@tonyrussi7777 meaning this song was cool but I wouldn't have traded it for you're the one or the hunter. Or really Wanda lead songs from this period.
@@DavidSmith-cx9cu I agree, the song does not equal those Smokey songs you mention. The Marvelettes were blessed to have 2 GREAT lead singers.I heard Smokey had a personal riff with Gladys & goin way back to '64 "Youre My Remedy" the first that Wanda had full lead.I'm talkin A side 45.
Squire wankathon
That’s Stevie Wonder on harmonica ❤❤
beautiful.....
👍👍
Absolute banger!
Between 2:04 and 2:12 YOU JUST GO TO HEAVEN on a FREE RIDE!!!!!! It´s very DIFFICULT to find, in any song, such a beautiful and absolutely PERFECT moment.
This reminds me of riding around Ibiza on a moped with my headphones on in 89
This is not the right song for her. Check out her duet with Billy Preston. Her voice is magnificent in the right song.
Can't believe they were discovered in my home town of barnsley at the civic Hall were I watched loads of bands none anywhere near as good as these brilliant
THIS IS TRANCE !!
Danny Rampling caned this when it first came out as did Carlos Cox. Psy Trance was massive bk then.
Johnny, thanks for your honest reviews of Kylie. I totally agree with you, she has to be the best female pop artist of our time. For someone who is nearing 56 years she is just amazing. I have watched her Live concert DVDs over and over. When ever I am feeling a little low I pull out one of her DVDs and play them. They pick me up and fill me with so much joy. Aphrodite or An Audience with Kylie 2023 or Golden just are fantastic. She can do anything! One song I would like you to review sometimes for your patrons is Flower. Kylie wrote this song while she was going through cancer treatment and learned she couldn't have children. She was totally devastated and I believe the lyrics are just brilliant and whenever I hear the song it brings me to tears. She sang it at the Proms in Hyde Park in 2012 and also at the Kylie X Tour in 2008. She is world class and so proud of her as a fellow Aussie. In fact I bought her Fever album in 2002 and loved it but I lost track of her as she was more popular in the UK, Europe and to some degree the US. I saw her An Audience with Kylie on Aussie TV in Nov last year and was blown away by her extraordinary talent and how much the audience loved her. Johnny, could you please review Flower to your patrons please so they can appreciate her incredible journey and talent. A lot of people would not realise that her Voltaire residency has been totally sold out and she is the first resident in history to be offered lifetime residency in Vegas. Love you Kylie. You're the best ever! Johnno
I wonder if Jamerson on this one it's possible Tony Newton Earl Van Dyke and The Soul Brother's is the band here
When I was in college in 1968 most kids I knew had only a few albums, and a crappy portable record player. This is one of the ones I had, and we wore it out! Thanks for posting this!
Absolute tune, boy am i gonna wake you up! Legends anthem Warrington X

Shawn Robinson did beautiful singing for Piero Piccioni.
Recording sound pressure is high and is very good
Love the Marvelettes they have a lot of songs that are great
Love BOTH versions of this song - the first one I heard, by MARTHA REEVES & THE VANDELLAS, and this one, by THE MARVELETTES!
Oakenfold- Annexe-cream ❤
I had this record when I was a Kid on a white label and thought it was good -
Incredible tune first heard in a roller disco when i was 11 ❤
