Rey Soto is a Charleston, South Carolina based singer songwriter, photographer, and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. After completing active duty military service, Rey discovered his passion for writing while enrolled at Charleston Southern University. He combined that passion for writing with his love of music and began composing songs and performing live. A self-taught musician, Rey considers himself a forever student of all things music. When it comes to songwriting, Rey draws from his own life experiences and observations, offering variety while taking listeners on a captivating journey.

The McLeod Plantation is located on James island where I grew up. We lived in Secessionville Acres, site of Fort Lamar. Before the war & Battle of Secessionville the island was home to wealthy planters. There are 3 beautiful mansions; 1 Victorian & 2 antebellum Greek Revival homes. There were hundreds of blank headstones & artillery scattered in the woods we played in. Like McLeod I’m happy all of these are finally protected historical sites- it took long enough! . Thanks for your video!
Despite their tulmultuous histories, plantation homes are some of the most beautiful well-designed in America. Said by Leonardo da Vinci, simplicity truly is the ultimate sophistication!

It's the McLeod Plantation Home and the so called tenant homes were slave quarters, stop sanitizing history just because todays generation are scared of their own shadow.
You should visit, and sign up for a tour. The tour guides are amazing and will help you understand better the history.

Oak trees with Spanish Moss growing on them. Classic southern stuff.
