Full lockout takes away a lot of muscle activation, which places unnecessary stress on the joints, therefore it’s more beneficial to stop motion before lockout👍
I’ve been training for over 10 years with 0 injuries, so I now when I do and don’t need a spotter👍 however I appreciate your concern because health and safety is number 1💪

Right into the abdomen and whole mid section pretty much. Breathe out as I push up and big breathe at top, repeat👍
