This video helps people change the background color in TouchChat WordPower to black. There are other color options, but black is my favorite. This works best when you have hidden some words and dislike the grey default background. You may also try this with kids with some attention or vision impairments. This is NOT CVI-friendly since the symbols are not in high contrast.
TD Snap --Adding Embedded Behavior Supports like Mini Visual Schedules

Embedded "Behavior Supports" can be helpful for AAC users, but remember to mainly use an AAC system for communication when first introducing it to a person. The main goal of AAC is for a person to be able to tell us whatever they want whenever they want & NOT to be used as a system that redirect behaviors. This video will help you program TouchChat WordPower in a way that won't allow a child to press a button 100x in a row (go go go go go go). What do I do if I am locked out from the menu because it says the password I set up is not the correct password.
@@87Saryna That’s a hard one because there is no way to reset the password that I know of. I would call the app’s tech support to see if they can support you. The general number for PrC-Saltillo is 800-262-1990. Hope this helps!
Any way to make it to where we can do this but still scroll on the device?
I looked in to my son’s school folder in TC wordpower 50 . I can’t find the whiteboard
Hi! This is a feature you/your SLP would have to program it into a page. I would make a new button, have it “navigate” to a new blank page, then program the buttons to be a whiteboard.
FYI… there’s already a Whiteboard in WordPower 60 Basic and many other vocabulary files in TouchChat. Go the the Groups page to find it 😊

Is there any way that after recording and creating the new button would show the word or sentence as well on top of the screen (as all the pictogramas that already come with the app) so the children can repeat it over and over??
I have looked into this. Sadly, any recorded message will not show up in the message window. The only system that allows the message to be repeated more than once (since it types it up in the message window) is Proloquo2Go.

I’m sorry that didn’t see your comment earlier! I do not have access to a NuVoice device. I would contact your PRC-Saltillo representative and they should be able to help!
