MEN GET FACIALS TOO | STEP-BY-STEP FACIAL DEMO
มุมมอง 1.6K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Hi there!! Thank you for clicking on my video! :3 In this video, I am performing a skin treatment on my boyfriend! For some background information on the facial today - my boyfriend does have oily skin and is prone to breakouts. He has a great skin regimen at home (thx to me) and so some of the products used, his skin was resilient enough to handle. If this was any other person, I would start t...

Parts of the video will be muted due to copyrighted material used during the editing process. Hi there!! Thank you for clicking on my video! :3 Just wanted to showcase what I do for "work" on a daily basis, nothing too serious! It's not as in depth as I wanted it to be but maybe in the future, I can do that something like that! This is just a video showing some of the things I do as an esthetic...
Poor lady should've prepared her body earlier by exfoliating days before.
In esti school, have worked on my classmate so far but working on my first booked client tomorrow, this was such a helpful refresher/ confidence boost!!
I gave up shaving due to depression and the constant pang of failure when it doesnt go smoothly and it barely makes a difference. I decided to wax and seeing this video it makes me feel so much better and it really helped xx
Never go near your period (or on it), take 2 Ibuprofen 30 minutes prior, and make sure you're clean. It's not so bad LOL
Silly question: is it okay to put hard wax directly on the wax pot without those tin/silicone inserts?
Do you have a tutorial on DIY Brazilian wax at home?
Good morning Rosa is my first time watching you video, can you duo video for men?
I thought you couldn’t leave the wax sitting for too long or it hardens? I learned that the hard way at home 😩
It all depends on the wax you are using! Some waxes set faster than others so you just have to adjust to it!
I don’t do Brazilians often and found this video 1 hour before my client came. This was soooo very helpful, thank you! It went smoothly and she said she’ll be coming back to me. Thanks again
Are you supposed to hold the sling before ripping off the wax?
Than you.
How do you use your Alexa to turn on your pot for you?? 🤔
I have an Amazon smart plug that connects to the Amazon app on my phone! Because I want the plug to turn on the wax pot whenever I want, I leave the wax pot on and in the settings I need it in. The plug is always connected to wifi and so every morning, I just go on the app, turn on the smart plug to turn on my wax plug! At the end of the day, I'll go on my app again and turn the plug off which turns off the wax pot too!
What kind of wax is recommended to use for thick hair??
Honestly, I have no wax recommendations at the moment for thicker hair however I prefer using hard wax with clients who have it. Always use quality waxes from well known brands (Cirepil, Starpil Wax, etc). No matter what wax you use, it all comes down to technique.
As a solo esthetician, how do you handle walk ins who want information and you happen to be with a client? Are all appointments made over phone only?
I never took in any walk ins however if a potential client were to come in and ask for information before an upcoming client arrives, I'll gladly answer any questions they may have. Always be considerate of your client and know that not everyone is willing to wait for you to talk to another person during their allotted time. As for appointments, I utilized an online booking system making it easier for clients to book on their own time and it was a lot more organized on my end.
I too am getting ready to put myself through a esthetic school. I’m excited and hope I enjoy the career and $$
What’s a vagacial??? Starting school this fall. Super excited and am loving all your videos!
Here @glamspalife we watch you for esthetician students
Thank you 😍😍😍
thank you so much this was very helpful i just graduated and love love love waxing this makes me less nervous to do Brazilians/ bikinis
Thanks babe
That’s depression. It absolutely sucks when something that brings you so much joy doesn’t anymore. 😢 and people don’t realize how hard it is to push through that esp when your taking care of yourself. I’m so glad you are able to take a break and take care of yourself bc many don’t have that opportunity. I’ve been a pro MUA since 2016 and esthecian since 2019 but doing it all by yourself is HARD.
This is why for first timers I do one or two test strips first that aren’t too thin but not too thick either and tell them that usually the labias are even alittle but more painful. The pain last for a few seconds and I alwayssss make sure to apply GOOD pressure after. Let me know if you think you’re good because once I start I’m not stopping unless you’re super super uncomfy and just don’t think you can do it. I also always ask if the temp of the house wax is ok too. I’m constantly just reassuring my client and also asking if they’re ok. I’ve had pretty jumpy clients but nothing like this. I feel like I would’ve stopped the service and ask for them to come back IF they want too.
Thank you I’m a licensed cosmetologist and they never showed us how to do it
Thank you!!!
Do people ever tell you that putting pressure on certain areas that have like a tendon or something is painful?
I've never had an issue with pressure on a client before, however, when pressure is being applied, it shouldn't be so much to hurt anyone; only enough for the wax to really make contact with the hairs for a cleaner removal.
What is the name of your wax pot?
I only use Starpil Wax pots! The one shown in the video is the 5 lb one!
I've been an esthetician for over 20 yrs and have only done soft wax, which i love. I've been opposed to hard wax bc I just dont feel it gets all the hair. Lastnight, I had a former EurWax employee cone to my salon to train me a little. It's def a very different technique and mindset from soft wax. Jury still out for me, but I'm looking further into it and will continue to practice. Thank you for this video. What waxes do you recommend?
For a slower drying wax, I love using Starpil's Starsoft wax - perfect for large areas and to lay multiple strips at once. For a faster drying wax, Cirepil Blue is a great one - works best in small sections and it's great for thick/coarse hairs!
I need to know where you got that scrub top!
I got it from Uniform Advantage! It's the Butter-Soft Stretch Grommet Scrub. Super comfortable and great quality. A lot of scrubs on the UA website are usually on sale or cheaper than others!🤍
What about the folds in the labia? I'm considering having a Brazilian done so I'm inquiring
Typically the waxer applies wax where hair is present and it's really no different in the labia area. If I see a client has more hair in the folds, I will just go a little bit more inward with application while covering the inner labia to ensure no wax is applied in or near very sensitive areas.
I felt this! I’m almost done with my basic esthetics program and I swear in-person clinic days are so exhausting going from client to client but I always feel so satisfied after completing another treatment! I love see the results and confidence boost I give my clients but even still I find it hard prioritizing my own self care especially since I’m still working two part time jobs. I’m planning on going straight into the master esthetics program in June for another 8 months 😭 I know it’ll be all worth the sacrifice in the end but I’m definitely taking a vacay after I’m finished with school. Enjoy your self care time! 💜
Yessss, girl! Everything will definitely pay off; keep pushing for greatness! Take care 💗
It’s so good to see you again, even if it’s through a screen. Although I miss having my services done from you, I totally support you taking a break from something that wasn’t making you feel your “full self”. I’m also happy to hear that you’re feeling and doing better lately. :) wishing you all the best!
Awww, thank you so much! I hope you're doing well! 💗
What is your opinion in working in a medspa as an esthetician?? I’m in the works of getting my license but I’m pretty scared of being self employed.
If you're able to work at a medspa as an esthetician, go for it! Even if it's at a chain, build experience and always look to further your knowledge in esthetics. Being self employed isn't for everyone and it takes a lot but it's definitely rewarding! Good luck on your journey! 💗
I’m in the same boat! closed my suite down last summer & haven’t taken clients again since. but I miss it! hope we both get back to it soon 🫶🏽
We’ll get through this!🤞🏼
You should give people a count on how many strips total they will likely have to endure
It’s hard to say, totally depends on each clients hair. Some may need to be broken up into more strips and some may need more clean up strips than others
I’m terrified of waxing but not really the pain just someone looking at and judging my 🐈
As a wax specialist and licensed esthetician: trust me we only look for / at the hair! I understand it can be uncomfortable to think about but it will be so fast and as long as you go to a professional, they will make you feel comfortable and we absolutely do not judge your anatomy!
Understandable. I can promise you we’re not judging the way it looks. We’re focused on trying to not F up and making sure the wax goes where it needs to 😂
Oh my god I’m so glad I found you . I’m in cosmo school but I want to learn waxing I swear to you the way you talk is so nice and I understand everyhting youte dayinh
Thank you! I just bought at home sugar wax and I’m lowkey mortified, but this made it seem less scary!!!
Whenever I feel bad about my first brazilians and my clients’ first brazilians, I feel better by watching this story.
I always get cuts and bruises when i wax, idk what im doing wrong, but im so tired of shaving
What’s the temperature you used for your wax
What type of wax do you use for Brazilian bikini waxing? Is it okay to use creme wax for that area?
Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Can licensed cosmetologists do waxing?
Yes! Cosmetologist's are able to wax under their license, however, always check with your state's board of barbering and cosmetology for more insight before performing any service.
Very well explained. Thanks a lot❤
Why don’t any of my comments stay up on here
Congratulations 🍾 hell yeah girl
❤❤❤🎉🎉 I clicked on this not even knowing you are in the 209!!!! Me too girl
What do you use to wash the white towels to stay white?
What wax are you using? Also what did you have your wax temp set at? This look like a perfect consistency
Yes please! Wondering too
