This is awesome! Love the superimposition of Polites before shooting Eurymachus to make the allusion part of the actual text! And I love Odysseus dropping the chandelier as a trap to prove his superior knowledge of the palace he built and dragging his sword to leave a bloody trail. Also love your Telemachus design and his fighting animations to protect himself and his softening at seeing his father, blood drenched as he is. Also Odysseus shooting the suitors and imagining it as Penelope and Telemachus lying dead to inspire him to greater acts of wrath!! And also seeing the tightening of his hand on the spear with the suitors lying in opposition to the white ghosts of his friends surrounding him to end with being surrounded only by the ghosts of the suitors he's just slain and all the carnage around him is really really cool and good. Thanks so much for making and posting this animatic!

I love how Hermes only spends like two seconds touching ground this whole time, perfect for him honestly-- and the transition of his staff spinning itself into the sword he gives Odysseus was so clean!! This will be a lot of fun once it's finished, I can tell already. Looking forward to it :)

So many things about this are SO GOOD-- - I actually love that every single suitor is just a featureless bunch of shapes; if we're meant to be shown that everything here is from Ody's perspective then that artistic choice makes perfect sense. These suitors aren't even worth being seen as people to him, only obstacles to be gotten rid of for the safety of the family he's been without for two decades. - The CHANDELIER, oh my god. All the animatics that have him leap out of the shadows with a bloody vengeance are fantastic in their own right but using the palace that he HE built and knows every brick of as a tool to kill the people invading it?? Literally the most 'Odysseus' thing he could have done in the moment-- just because Athena left him doesn't mean he ever stopped being a warrior of the mind!! - The apparition of Polites appearing behind him while the suitor is pleading as if wanting him to listen and you can see for a millisecond that some tiny part of him does still want to, but he's too far gone ;-; UGH I am unwell. And Penelope appearing behind him while he protects her!! Ody don't worry you're doing a great job sweetie you'll see her soon,, - Lastly I think my actual favorite thing about this is how incredibly calm Odysseus is throughout the whole thing-- yes, he's angry, he probably couldn't be angrier, but he doesn't run around senselessly ripping suitors apart like he probably reeaally wants to. His movements aren't exaggerated or flashy or unnecessary just for the animatic to look cool and he doesn't really look like what we the fandom would immediately recognize as The Monster-- he's cold and calculating here, stategic, methodical even in the second half once he stops picking people off from the shadows, and I ADORE it. Nobody can convince me this isn't 100% exactly how the actual palace massacre went down in Epic canon I did not start this comment planning on throwing a wall of text at you but regardless everything about this animatic is top tier and you should be incredibly proud of yourself!! I cannot wait to see whatever else you have in store!

a lot of people make the suitor that attempts peace look like polities, but i think i prefer this version where ody visualises it instead, hits that much harder, and the small look hehas as he listens, and silently mourns another thing he had to give away to make it home, this that good shit

0:57-1:15 is such a cool scene! And seeing it, suprisingly, gave me a lot of motivation to keep going with the animatics I was planing to made! Becouse as far as I can tell, there where only 2-3 frames used for the "spin shots", and it still lokks amazing! That is so much less intimidating (in terms of labor) than the spin shots I see in other animatics, especially considering that I'm planing on making my animatics traditionaly!
