Romance Partner | Fantasy High Animatic
Hey this is my first animatic! This originally started as an assignment for class but I've only recently been able to finish it. This is the scene that actually got me into watching Fantasy High and Dimension 20 in the first place so I wanted to do a lil somthin somthin for it :)

i'm so late to this party but i love the little detail that baron's mouth doesn't move when they speak. creepy as shit
Holy shit!
he DOES say BOY.... i was so confused when.. I thought for years Baron was a she.
6:32 that final snap looks so visceral
this is the real scene animation. to me.
What accent is that!? lol
Honestly Wife goals
Why the fuck did this creator drop one bomb ass animation about fantasy high two years ago and then just dip?
They said all they needed to say (/j)
is that not the tlou2 chokeout
Why does Rizz have a tail??
You cannot control the eldrtich horror that falls in love with you I suppose 😂
“I give up” “can we be done” I love Murph 😂 edit: the second one was Zac, both, both is good
Holy fuck- is it so genuinely terrifying with a visual. The audio is funny but this is truly unsettling
Oh man, Riz is hot.
To me, at least "You would have to take a step forward" is a pretty strange and unnerving line. Brennan delivers it so casually, while the phrasing of it (you would HAVE to take a step forward) implies an amount of effort and thought that would not typically be required from an action as simple as stepping forward. I know this line was probably something improvised but to me it really underlines the creeping dread of this scene. Riz is afraid to step forward. To investigate the next room, he would have to leave the safety of the shadows and move towards the door.
If this could be fully animated and have a few small tweaks I think it would be better than the "official" animated version that was just published on Dropout. The new animated version is good and, is drawn well and I love having the pictures of the other PCs move with the OOC dialogue. But this style is much creepier and would be awesome for everyone to see it fully animated.
I can't help it, this version of the animation remains "the official one" in my heart ❤
Same. When I saw Dropout release this scene animated, I was hoping it was this one
I said this on The Burrows End but I think it also applies here Y’all remember the Horror Campaign? Like the genuinely scary creepy one? Yeah this scene is worse omg
Neverafter? I just got to the mice and feel like I truly understand eldritch horror for the first time.
"a voice colder than the grave echos from behind the mirror where you know there is nothing" will haunt me forever
Why does Riz have a tail? He’s a goblin.
In 5e, goblins have tails.
@@stargazer1998 source? None of the official art or info I can find says as much except for specifically a singular type of goblin from the unofficial book “Magic the Gathering - Plane Shift: Ixalan” book, and I’m fairly certain Riz isn’t playing this very specific goblin subrace from an unofficial sourcebook.
Brennan Lee Mulligan once again showing a perfect combination of horror and comedy. The kind of skill it takes to make people genuinely laugh while ALSO being extremely creeped out.
The littol chortle of a fellow player hearing you try and avoid The Bad Thing while still approaching it is always a fun little touch
"where you know there is nothing" and "as though there is pressure from the other side" GOSH. DANG...... FANTASY HIGH SEASON 3 LETS GOOOOOO
your Riz looks so cool! such a creepy and well-executed animatic :)
The juxtaposition of how insanely creepy Baron is with the hilarity of their accent and dialogue is peak Brennan.
ONE second in and already obsessed with Riz's ear twitching 😭
Wait...is Baron a tulpa?
whats a Tulpa?
@@boss5718 an invisible friend that becomes an actual spirit when you obsess over it long enough
@@superanimeniac cool. I guess in this case kinda?
@@boss5718 no, not at all. This is dark magic, being created by a mysterious being called the Nightmare King. I don't want to go into further details to avoid spoilers, but this isn't at all a tulpa.
@@superanimeniac oh yeah. Kinda forgot about that part. Thanks!
Love the way you draw him
The clawed hands are amazing. And the soft line quality makes me just happy to look at.
I sent this to a friend for the comedy and then only remembered after hitting send how insanely creepy it is
Thank you for this animation it me fall in love dnd live play. Led me to watch all dimension 20, than taz and dndads.
"It is not my fault I am made of lies...it is the the fault of the deceiver." INCONCEIVABLY HARD LINE, I LOVE FANTASY HIGH SO GATDAMN MUCH
Junior Year has been announced. Fuck yea.
Brennan is terrifyingly good at speaking with the absolute worst pattern (or lack thereof) of emphasis
*GUN*
i ship it.
The moment it's in range to grab my throat , I'd grab its junk. There better be equipment I can work with down there or it ain't my imaginary romance partner
AGHHHH WOWWW i had to pause at baron just gently moving a hair strand off riz's eye. AGHHH GAVE ME CHILLS!!!! first and only time ive ever seen that last part animated, SO COOL WELL DONE
Would.
This is why you never make a joke around brennan. He will add it to the game
which episode is this frooommm, I don't remember thissss
early on in season 2, it leads to the battle at the hotel with the demons
they call him rizz for a reason
I think you spelled römænce pærtnër wrong
The way that in the background Emily (who’s Murph/Riz’s IRL wife) says “WHAT?!” Gets me every time
Riz: *Agressive tapping*
what episode is this from?
He should have just started spitting up random things like how sweet they are and how they should go to the movies and anything to get this person off of him
I suffer from nyctophobia, I'd never, ever look into a mirror in a dark room, not to save my life.
Literally one of my fav d20 animatics the style, composition and framing is so good
