Those do look horrific! We don’t have them like that here, yet. I don't even know if we have those, we have a few “lady bugs”. We usually have Japanese beetles on our fruit trees but I put out attractant early this year and they didn't get on our trees. Everything is getting worse in the world. Helene is an example, worst in recorded history. Great video Jessie!

Downsizing seems to be a theme for homesteaders lately. We are also downsizing. Sold our house in Maryland and currently getting our house in missouri ready for sale. Then moving to our homestead and living in an rv for now. Hopefully building our house in 2 yrs

Hope you're still having success with Lady peas. They were my Mama and my favorite pea. I just never learned how long to cook them to be like her's. Ideas?

Thanks for sharing. You're right on the 10 minute boiling time. I pour simmering brine on my cucumbers and they seal within 1 hour, no water bath at all. Crunch!

I watched the gourd lady. She said the loofas stay on the vine up to three months to dry out before she cuts them so they are easy to manage and they don’t rot. Maybe you didn’t hear this info maybe it will help you. Do the chickens eat the gourd foliage?

It can be very challenging to use a phone to create videos and edit in upload. It can be done but what I would consider doing is using a phone dedicated to video that would be at least until you can get a camera

what I can gather is that you use an iPhone, but by chance to use an Android

Outstanding job on the watermelon. I'm growing those this summer in DE zone 7. Would like to ask you, did you have that watermelon trellised? Or was it resting on the ground? I'm thinking of letting mine run up a cattle panel. Wonder how a 54 lb watermelon would hang on that.
