Can you please do more Alvin and the chipmunks songs?
I have a flugelhorn with a fourth valve and it’s built so that you use your other hand to press it rather than your pinkie.
@@KolaBrassNPercussion That’s another style out there! I’ve seen people use this flugel that way too
Ehy the Bass Clarinet sounding like a Contrabass Clarinet
What mouthpiece do you use for the piccolo trombone?
My guess is probably a cornet mouthpiece. Could be wrong tho
Mine takes a regular trumpet mouthpiece, I put in a Schilke 6a4a (super tiny) to help get some range out of it.
I want an eterna flugel 4 valve but havent been able to find one. That low note was delicious
Unfortunately, the level of the microphone for Mazur himself is too low.
I have played clarinet for a while and I’m really fond of it but recently I think I’ll change my path to bassoon. P.S. If I do play bassoon I’ll be the only one in the band!
@@JesseKeen-g9m Most band directors would LOVE a switch to bassoon, best of luck!

Looks like your outer slide came off there (it's tiny so no wonder this happens). Decent recovery.

the piccolo trombone is so tiny it’s cute but it’s so amazing how you can play so quickly on it with such a tiny slide
All of a sudden 1st to 6th isn’t that far away 😂
There was no playing
Cool!
thats cool

With that tiny slide that is very impressive

Damn that's good
It would be lovely to hear just you talking and not have that clippy cloppy nonsense in the background (almost foreground, at some points),. Great demos of the brass, though.

Can you make a piccolo trombone video?

Alex: What's your opinion on the things I don't like about my 4 valve Getzen: (1) They placed the 4th valve where the 3rd valve was and moved the other valves back. As a result, the horn is off balance, tipping forward as you hold it by the valve casings; (2) The fourth valve tubing is bent in on itself, instead of being stretched out like the Adams 4 valve. I've been told this interferes with smooth air flow, which may lead to (3) I can't get a pedal C# on this horn. E flat is supposed to be 2,3, & 4, while D is supposed to be1,3, and 4. C# is supposed to be fingered 1,2,3, &4. However, on my horn, 1,3,& 4 produces E flat, 1,2,3, &4 produced D, and no fingering produced C#. Is it just me? I'v value your op[i9nion.
@@jerrysoffer3114 Hi Jerry, my flugels balance right on the third valve and so the way I hold it (which may be unique, I don’t hold 4 valves often) I don’t really feel much tipping either way. The 4th valve tubing wrap is pretty tightly cornered. I like the Adams way better. I actually know somebody who had their Getzen rebuilt to match that shape, improving the airflow. The fingering combinations you wrote are pretty standard for the low register on a 4valver. Since the valves don’t compensate (like I mentioned in the video) the fingerings end up being too sharp and so you have to use lower fingerings to get enough tubing. Low C# is a missing note that you could only get if you really extended all the slides and then some. Check out a video on compensating valves if you want a better explanation. Hope that helps!
Love this Christmas song. Nice Sousa too!
@@rhd1974 thank you!!

Yup, sounds like every other tromobone player that thinks they can play horn. Should have just played some Dennis Brain or Barry Tuckwell to give an idea of what the horn sounds like. No one would ever want to play it after hearing that! Not much better with the trumpet either. Kudos for doing the video though.
Hi! I'm brand new to your channel. I found you through videos about choosing a musical instrument. I enjoyed them very much and they were very helpful. I wanted to ask if the remaining videos (probably part 3 and 4) will ever be made. 😊😊
