My huffy has the (no potential) down hill ride and hops humps fine I upgraded it from 18 speed to 27 speed.

Me personally I like a little higher end bikes. Walmart bikes aren’t good and are super cheap and dangerous. You’re not gonna break the bank spending atleast $500-800 on a QUALITY bike. Also V-Brakes SUCK. Buying a used Specialized Rockhopper for 400 bucks is enough for parks and light dirt trails. Me personally I buy my bikes new.

I bought the new huffy rock creek 29 and I have changed the tires to the Kenda sport nevegal 29 2 20 tires , changed the grips to a better brand, pedals to a better one and the brake pads to a better one, i take a lot of big jumps and berms and more and it's like a champ. Love the steel frame, but I have taken a lot of the stickers off only leaving the the huffy and the Rock creek,

Just done this, tektro 4p calipers with shimano xt levers, Use tektro hose olives and hose interface (screw in bit) and it works really well.

If you are buying a bike at a department store its the disc brakes you want to stay away from.

The murano factory jack works too. It is extended at the top for height.

Disk brakes are NOT the best. They fail and need redonkulous repair. Cantilever brakes are all but fail proof and far easier to repair and maintain.

The plastic trim pieces you put on the reinforcement before the bumper and grill do the originals work or do I need to order ? ( reinforcement cover support)

I've seen multiple studies showing that rim brakes are more reliable and less prone to issues than disc brakes. Disc brakes are garbage, they squeak all the time and lose tension more often and wish I never upgraded

I think people are confusing mountain biking with; going to the store on a bike, going into a small or large trail in a hilly area, or taking the dirt path Guys, that’s not mountain biking… Mountain biking is going to an actual mountain & riding on trails there. I wouldn’t trust my life to some V Brakes… But for those other tasks I mentioned, buying any V Brake bike with those cheap stems & suspension is a smart & great idea 😊
