to get further you need essence. gather essence

Ohhhhh i loved that Hollow knight fight!! One of the most emotional experiences I've had in a video game, when it started stabbing itself... like it's trying to help me kill it, but the infection just keeps forcing it to attack in increasingly more disturbing ways... MAN that music still gets me! Great job on beating him! Really excited to see you clean up the rest of Hallownest!

5:02 TBH, it happened to everyone at least once… and some of us more than once 😂

First of all, I have never seen anyone do so good on their first run of watcher knights. Speedrunners consider it the hardest boss of the run. Second of all, for a general playthrough, every single time you take damage you should just immeditely heal. So A, you'll never be low on hp, B you'll be able to save up your soul easier.

There was no reason not to go to the Spire this episode and i don't know why you were advised against it. Maybe it was because the Watcher Knights are notoriously hard? But you kicked their asses, lol Since you know there are multiple endings, I should mention that there is one ending that's missable. It's the base ending so it's hard to miss unless you're determined to do everything before fighting the final boss. [Also, if you're sure you want detailed directions for that thing in Queen's Gardens: it's in a tunnel full of acid right above Moss Prophet's temple (at the southeast border with Fungal Wastes) and to the right of that room with the dream essence root and a bunch of Mossflies. On your map it looks like a big straight line above a tunnel with two bumps. Lemme know if you still need help and I'll link the wiki or something haha]

Also, If you didnt find a Key in queens gardens, search for it!

You should gather essence now, and bring it to seer

You need to use your shadow dash wisely to beat him. (Edit: haha, never mind i guess! I think going after the Watcher is a good next step) Also, yes, Herrah the Beast is Hornet's mother. There is some more information on that hidden away in Deepnest.

If you wait in front of the devouts faces, they will open without having to smack them- you can use that split second to get an attack in before dashing away :] or shade cloak through them if you cba fighting xD

There is a graceful way to beat the Devouts. Also, you can shadow-dash through them, you only tried dashing through them when it hadn't recovered.

Regarding your nail upgrade: your previous nail did 13 damage per hit. The coiled nail does 17. Hivelings have 18 health. So you're 1 damage away from being able to 1-shot them

I've got kind of a random request for you Melodic. Now that you're a good way into the game, you should try to get caught up on a little bit of missed lore. You should make a video of you just reading all of the Hunter's Journal entries for all of the enemies you've killed, and react to them. A few of them are useless to lore and are just fun to know, but some are quite vital and help you understand a bit more the world of Hallownest. I did the same thing once I had fully completed the journal in my first run through, it helped a lot.
