plex is one of the few things that makes it possible to have private movie collections. when all there is is streaming, then the corporations will decide what they want you to see. its already happened with disney movies. if you dont want mega corporations to be the only ones with movie collections then pirate the hell out of them.

I wasn't very happy with the original Star Wars trilogy on UHD Blu-ray. It looked very waxy. They removed all the film grain which resulted in a lack of detail, and it's the special edition movie. I like a few of the special edition pieces, but Han shot first, not at the same time. The CG in that scene looks so bad. So I watched the 4K77 version with my son instead. Sadly, I didn't get the Atmos soundtrack I paid for, but at least I got the original 5.1 theatrical mix from a 70mm showing.

Cost saving due to labor? On non soldered systems, you literally just plug it in? A few seconds of work? It takes longer to solder it in! As most here point out, it's to force you to buy a new laptop when the old one breaks. Cuz it won't be repairable

I have the same issue with not powering off. Try speaking with Bose’s tech support people. The most appalling experience! The agent was literally reading a script and could barely be understood. There was no acknowledgement of the issue nor alignment nor assurance. What weak service for a well-known brand. This is what fuels the long-standing definition of BOSE - Buy Other Sound Equipment.

I think you were just unlucky I had mine for years use the all the time and never had this issue and 2 other family members have same headphone with no issues. Or maybe in your case it was just a bad batch or something

I know this is an ancient video, but I did have a question. Can I use the camcorder as a recording deck to transfer VHS videos into the camcorder via the USB cable, or is the USB cable output only like the mini HDMI port is?

Did anybody write a 12-bit gaming console on an FPGA? It would be the perfect system. 8-bit is too little, 16 bit is too much. Would be really cool in many aspects: - 12 bit graphics: 4R+4G+4B bit RGB is probably the sweet spot with 4096 colours. - 12 bit integers: 0-255 or -128-127 is often too small, you can't deal with screen coordinates in that. -2048 to 2047 on the other hand is just perfect. It will allow very efficient coding. - 12 bit ASCII, 4096 characters is great. UTF-8 is too complex, where classic ASCII is just too restricted. You could even opt for a 6+6 system. 64 characters at the basis, with dual half-word for the extended set. - 12 channel 12x12bit wavetable synthesis. The best sounding chiptunes at your fingertips - 12 bit bus and 24 bit addressing: 25 megabytes of storage is an awesome amount for sprite-based games

The issue seems to be that people pay to use a company's software to produce an art product (song/movie/etc) with the intent to own the art product outright and do with the art product as they please. The EULA seems to take the rights of the art producer by dictating/licensing what you can and cannot do with the art product you make. Some EULA's also give the software company a right to sell and distribute the work that the artist produces with no compensation to, or consideration from, the art producer. My question is: "Is there a software company (music/video/animation) that gives the producer of the art full rights and does not put the maker of the product into a position of someone who needs a license to use what they made?" And if not, "What software companies offer the most rights to the producer of the art?"

There's only one reason they have these Chromebooks set up that way so they could sell new ones.

The reason people don’t use them is because they don’t work. A lock does no more than keep an honest man, honest. You more likely to see these on docks. 200 or 300 dock, whereas as people take their laptops with them. You can get portable cable cutters small enough, so why risk it. ( Later on the lock can be cut flush) Not really slowing a thief down. Now locking the dock; most thief’s won’t put the effort in it. No guarantees they know what it is, anyway.

I have the Quietcomfort 45's and after watching a video just figured it was the top plastic switch. I took it apart and discovered that the actual black plastic piece that the switch goes over had broken off. It's not like I'm overly rough when turning these on or off so very disappointed.

So if you have four cameras that's four hundred dollars a year. Want to fix income of seven hundred dothers after they take your insurance and taxes out. Doesn't make sense. My sister need to send them back.

Hello .. help me here. An old person begging 🙏 .., Same type of thing for me but mine are only 10 months old AND it was a slightly different switch issue. BUT Where do I mail it? How do you find this stuff out? There were no written instructions when I bought it. Do you have to call them first? It seems so old fashion to mail something back and wait until they “fix” it and the mail it back to you. It seems like an impossibility in this day and age.
