Saaisha India Foundation is a charitable organisation established in 2018 by passionate volunteers working towards bringing cheer in the lives of Women and Children and making a tangible difference in their lives
One of the first project taken up by Saaisha is providing knitted/crocheted handmade breast prosthesis for women who have undergone a mastectomy. The prosthesis is lovingly called knockers. Saaisha is registered with Knittedknockers.org of USA who are pioneers in providing Knitted Knockers in USA.Our Volunteers who are avid and experienced crocheters and knitters, make the Knockers from 100% mercerised cotton yarn using patterns based on those specified by www.knittendknockes.org USA. These knockers made by our Volunteers are provided to the beneficiaries FREE of cost.
Women using the knockers have confirmed that besides being soft, aesthetic, comfortable and eco-friendly, their usage has provided them confidence and have helped improve balance and posture.

December 5th is celebrated as International Volunteers Day. Saaisha's session to ignite the young minds to volunteer was held on Nov 28th at Bright Riders Auditorium on request from school to showcase the contributions of UAE team and inspire youngsters.
