I actually got to see the 2024 Svartpilen 401 in person! If I am honest, I didn't like the design in photos and videos, BUT, in person it actually looks really cool! It's a lot wider, so it looks a lot more muscular. The radiator guard(?) is also curved which is a very very unique, cool design. I didn't get to sit on it, but I'd imagine it's more comfortable due to it being wider than previous models. All in all, I like it! Not sure how many aftermarket mods are available, but definitively need a front fender raiser and more aggressive tires to offroad with it though!

@@佑群吳 Trust me I was scared too hahaha, that descent was so incredibly steep the video doesn't do it justice, I am never riding there again! Although, I should've deflated the tires to probably 10 psi or even below for optimal grip!

I weighed over 80kg at the time of recording. On top my weight, I always have full gear too. My bike struggles to hit 140 when there's any wind resistance. So I was happy to hit 150, I think the bike could've hit 160 but definitely nowhere near 170.

@ If you put your chest towards the fuel tank and you helmet super close to the handlebar, you can get close to 170.

@ Yes, I did 173 km/h a lot of times on my gen 2 Svartpilen 401. You need to put your helmet super close to the fuel tank to get that speed.

Up to the 2019 model, it's better offroad than later models due to the exhaust being routed through the bike as opposed to being routed underneath the bike which takes away from clearance. If you would take off roading even somewhat seriously, you'd definitely want to get a front fender raiser to elevate that front fender. You could also get a longer chain to increase clearance between the rear fender and tire. With that being said, I had loads of fun on the bike in its stock form and absolutely do not regret getting the bike and off-roading it, but the fun will only get better with the off-roading upgrades!

Buy a 500cc Enduro bike. They come with all the lights and you can ride it on the road, but it's primarily a dirt bike. This bike in the video is primarily a street bike and you can do very mild off road. You see how easily is gets stuck, and really doesn't perform well if you like to do real off roading. The Enduro will have a ton more ground clearance, and fender clearance.

I think the extra protection is an absolute must for offloading for sure! The crash cage is quite pricey but has already proven itself in my case haha, it's the one from t-rex racing! The axle sliders along with the frame sliders/exhaust sliders are just from Aliexpress so they are quite inexpensive! I do just have the stock engine guard which is just basically the exhaust and that black piece beside the exhaust!

@@countrycalisthenics98 Do you have links for those on aliexpress / how do I know they'll fit? I will then invest in a crash guard for the motor and get them I guess. Just bought it last week.

@data-drifters Thanks man! Honestly, test ride it If you can! It sounds like you might be a little too tall for the bike, and I don't know what you weigh but weight definitely affects the bike's power! If possible definitely test ride the bike man, however I have read people with similar heights enjoying the bike so you might like it too :)

Sat on it today! Downshifting makes my knee touch the tank, but I might be able to look past that. It’s so beautiful. Do you have a sumo mode on the bike? Because the one I visited just had road and rain mode. Not off-road.
