We are Patrick and Betina. And together with our 3 kids we are doing something pretty scary. We are switching our comforting everyday life out with a life on our sailboat.
We are really challenging ourselves with this ‘’new’’ lifestyle. Neither of us are from sailing families and the first time we set foot on a sailboat, was in 2019. And in 2023 we are moving aboard our boat to go cruising.
Our first goal is to reach the mediterranean sea and go explore all those unique and beautiful places. Trying to live as ‘’off-grid’’ as possible all while still having to home-school our to oldest children.
If you care to follow our journey as we learn about our new lifestyle and learn to home-school, forage our own food and keep our sailboat in good condition all while exploring beautiful destinations.

Tror du skal Google lidt på hvordan man opligner motor og propelaksel, din metode med øjemål er helt i skoven. For det første skal det kontrolleres at akslen ligger 100% midt i stævnrøret og derefter kontrollerer man med søgerblade imellem anlægsfladerne på klemflange og gearflange klokken 12, kl 3, kl 6 og kl 9 (oppe, nede og i begge sider) og der må ikke kunne komme mere end 0.1 mm søgerblad imellem.
Du har helt ret I at det er metoden at gøre det på. Der er lige det lille "men" at båden ligger i vandet og vi derfor ikke kan lave præcis den stævnrørs alignment - her har jeg faktisk fulgt anbefalingerne fra producenten ift. Alignment. Det er ikke vist i videoen og godt du pointere det, men jeg har brugt søgerblade på samme måde du beskriver og det burde jeg nok have skrevet/sagt i videoen men det er lige gledet ud i de knap 10 timer det tog mig at redigere videoen 😉🤘 - kan være jeg laver en korrektion til det hvor det står skrevet. Men tusind tak fordi du tog dig tid til at skrive det! Hjælper mig meget til at være opmærksom på sådanne "essentielle" metoder. 🤙🤙

Subscribed :) If you have problems with batteries draining each other you can get something called a Septor, it is a electronic relay.

Thank you so much! 🙏 - it is true. You get used to the cold ❄️ - we love in Denmark at the moment. But in 83 days we are heading south to the Mediterranean. Not that we don't like the cold weather but warmth is a bit easier with small kids 😘 Where are you from?
