I'd sing this song to my cat since he was a kitten. He hated my singing but always tolerated and drew close to this song. He is dying this weekend. I'm about to travel hours across my state to sing this to him one last time.

There's so many good scenes that this song plays in but one of my favorites was when Izumi breaks into a military base and starts taking down guards just to rescue wrath (In the 2003 version Wrath is the homunculus she created trying to resurrect her son) all the while Curtis is explaining to Winry what she went through and the regret, guilt and grieving she was going through when they first lost their child during birth and how Izumi broke down crying

It's been almost ten years since I saw this show. I've seen a lot of anime since then. A lot that were even better than FMA03 but I'll always remember the experience of watching this show for the first time.

Spoilers for FMA Brotherhood OK I prefer Brotherhood in most ways compared to 03 (which I didn't find very good myself even if it had a lot going for it), and that includes the soundtrack... But man can you imagine if a triumphant version of this played when Ed gave up his ability to use Alchemy to get Al back in the second last episode?

i'm sorta disappointed that Brotherhood didn't have some of the music in the 2003 version

Notice the contrast from 0:55 and 2:46. The first time stamp is a lot more simple while the second is a lot more powerful and beautiful. Love it.
