And cheap at only $5500 with tax. That was both a joke and not, at a high volume production facility this will save the company alot of time and money hence the $5500 is a bargain. This tool is not for the small shop, but for those which can afford to splurge for it I'm glad. Funny tidbit, saw this here in Sweden at the Metabo rack in a tool shop and semi-looked at the pricetag while I was investigating this weird tool and thought "ooh, 5600SEK Is a rather good price". Then looked a little harder at the sign and it read "56000". 😮😅 "not for me then".

It is a shame that there is poor distribution of Metabo tools here in Canada. I also understand it’s probably very difficult market a high end premium product in a saturated international market where brand recognition and reputation isn’t as strong. It would also be easier if more North American tools ran on the CAS system. If I were a German tradesperson there would be no question I would use Metabo.

So when does it turn into a mech?

I don't think it is a good idea to show a flawed cut at 0:43 . It indicates an issue with the guide rail. Please recheck.

I like the idea of the tool. But I'm wondering if this can this gouge out a series of stitch welds that you're trying to remove? Obviously I can use a plasma cutter or gouge it out with oxy acetylene or a plasma cutter, but all of these methods introduce a lot of heat into the metal.

I'm a Hitachi tool user since 1983. My first was a steel-bodied power planer that I bought used for $40. It was the first planer I'd ever used in the early years of my carpentry journey. I loved that it cut a full 3-1/2", and easily plowed through oak at full depth. The party was over when I nicked the knives. Hitachi had discontinued every part for it except the cord! I kept it in the thin wooden box that was its shipping crate! There were three extra sets of brushes and 5 or so spare drive belts included! The cord was 10' long, great for working with long lengths of stock. I kept it for years after I ruined the knives, hoping to be able to replace them one day. I still used it for cutting crowns and twists out of pressure-treated deck lumber. When the original brushes finally blew, one of them blew its door right through the threads and into a Carolina marsh. I still couldn't part with that bad-assed workhorse. I kept it until around 2016!! My next Hitachi was the 8-1/2" slide compound miter saw that virtually every good trimmer I knew was using. I drove to a Hitachi dealer in a nearby tax-free state to buy that saw in '98, and 24 years and many blades later, I still use it for decks, framing, and everything except crown moulding! I hope I've made myself clear. Sure I have to buy other brands when the few stores that carry Hit/Met tools near me have limited stock, but I shop Hitachi first. I have had a Hit vibrating sander for 20 years and I love it. I'm going to buy the corded 2.8A orbital and a hammer drill soon. I hope Lowe's wakes up and stocks up on Metabo one day. Hey folks! I own this beauty and I'd like to pick up the x3 torque attachment too. My question is - since there's an extra variant of that with a 16mm drill chuck (the DC version), is it also possible to mount non-Quick, 1/2'' chucks on the non-DC version as well? I'd like to mount a keyless chuck on top of the extension. Also, does the Power x3 extension work with hammer drilling (carrying over the impacts) or not? Thanks in advance for the help!

Nice but I can't see using it in my daily application. I do like it tho.

Bought the 6” grinder a year or so ago and had an issue with it that could not be fixed. I sent it to metabo and their customer service was awesome. Sent me a new one back in good time. I paid to have mine sent to them which is more than fair. Very happy with the level of service and I love the grinder. I bought another 4.5” grinder from them because of the service they provide. Definitely recommend them.

I hade a Metabo tool KHE 32 CODE year 2005, i use it for 20 hours work, yesterday i try to use it again and not working check it for brushes for cable problem but nothing, I send it for service and i waiting to pay about 80 euros now! Not happy.
