I went through it with my 5* Star Vex. Critically the stars of discovery, blessings, and wonder ensure that Vex can stabilize the early game with effective gloom application and remain a threat against units with even higher than usual damage. For relics I run Echoing spirit, the Grand General's Counterplan, and Utmost Despair. This combination allows for a constant stream of gloom from Vex cards both on summon and afterward as her champion spell. Ideally you get a first power that enables her gameplan of applying gloom to units and keeping the board state in your favor. Powers like -1 cost to created cards or spells make her Gloom 0 cost while Vex is on the field (Echoing Spirit) and the draw keeps you drawing through your deck to strong spells. Anivia is the harder boss, so be prepared for Anivia to drop high cost units and spells and work to clear her board of threats like Lord Eldred, Lifesteal units, and Overwhelm units.
