Magnolia Model Railway

As it says on the tin, this is Magnolia Model Railway a traditional model railway, where you can watch locomotives pulling their trains round a traditional style model railway layout.
The trains are mainly steam locomotives, but there are occasional diesel locomotives. They engines and rolling stock come from Hornby, Bachmann, Dapol, Heljan and a couple of old Airfix, Replica, Mainline and Lima models. Some of the locomotives have been modified to have head lamps and crew fitted.
The model railway layout is a twin track allowing for plenty of running. It uses Peco code 100 track with Gaugemaster controllers, with most of the buildings from Metcalfe Models kits. The little people and vehicles are from various manufactures.
The layout is for playing trains and is not suitable for rivet counters.
So, sit back and watch the trains go by and leave the pressures of the real world behind.

I definitely prefer my Bullied Pacifics rebuilt. Not that I have any, being a GWR/LNER fan!
I agree as they have a more traditional shape, but the spam cans do make a statement.
@MagnoliaModelRailway Yes, you couldn't mistake them for anything else. As a boy, I remember seeing a couple in Barry Scrapyard. I had no idea about their history then, but their shape was striking.
I like heavy freight locos, and this is a real "special", along with the GWR Night Owl, for example. They're both very rare on the pre-owned market, so hopefully someone will release new models of them in the near future.

Hi. Is the 94xx the Bachmann or much earlier Lima version? I'm assuming Bachmann, as it runa veey smoothly. But if not, please tell me your secret, as my Lima is a dog, despite my best efforts.
Bachmann and runs very well.
9Fs were magnificent machines, and were seen regularly on the Westeen Region, so I love 'em! A lined, green livered Std 5 is also a lovely sight. They were common on ex-LMS metals in the Western Region.

Paul, thanks for watching, did this only with GWR locos as that is what I have most of; will probably do another set of videos with other locos - BR standards, LMS, LNER and SR to mix things up.

Yes it is a great model and runs very well, it was made by Heljan, but I think they only made one production run and I really wanted a green BR one but missed out and had to take this one or nothing. As there was such good demand I can't understand why they never made more. Wish you luck in tracking one down.
