Breaking into an Abandoned Theme Park (Gone Wrong) - Indigo Park Ch. 1
Heyaaaaaa! It's me, puppyplaysemall. Today: I edited this quick video of me playing Indigo park on stream just for Halloween. I am quite late to this but I had my reasons... reasons being that I can't play horror games cause I'm such a coward.
I kinda rushed this video so expect it not to be my best quality when it comes to a video. Boy do I procrastinate a ton.
Anyways hab a Happy Halloween

The PLAYING WITH VIEWERS TERRARIA Experience
SF6 is the first in the series I've ever been interested in , certainly the first I've ever purchased. So I'm totally new to the series. I HATE the modern controls. It might as well be only one button that does a random move. How can you possibly learn the game if a button press gives you random moves? Frustratingly, going online for the first time, I'm constantly matched with modern control players who can pull off special after special and supers with no effort at all.
Modern controls was a great! I just started playing sf, I never played before and was close to just drop it. It was a great way to get noobs in and slowly learn the inputs and maybe switch to classic after having some fundamentals it would be easier
lily zangief ken guile maybe akuma are the best modern users got to master with gief on it and no classic inputs I don't agree with the damage reduction because of how limited ur options are which does matter some characters have to give up some of there best buttons or even there only overhead for example blanka or good burn meter pokes marisa and gief.
Real
Nice video
Modern trash.
I think its so funny that people automatically look at that M and think "oh ima win this one" until they dont. Then modern is trash 😂😂😂😂😂
(Spends entire match being extremely predictable and not knowing ranges of attacks) Some dipshit: FUCKING MODERN CONTROLS ARE EASY MODE
26:34 What them is this?
Arcade mode ending - sf6 It shows it in the credits
I wasn’t great at fighting games when sf6 came out like I could only do fireballs and tatsus at best. Playing on modern as well as a few classic games like the mvc games and jojos really helped me get better at fighting games. I play Chun and Akuma at platinum online but I didn’t realize people hated modern that bad. So I got more motivated to play classic. Chun felt right for me on modern and I didn’t feel confident swapping to classic Akuma on platinum. I felt accomplished with modern it helped me learn fundies and get better at fighting games overall skill wise rather than just thinking special moves and crazy combos solve your problems. One thing I liked doing on modern was adding onto modern combos like I found 2 ways to do raging demon mid combo and expand chuns combos even further. Classic is helping rn. Before Akuma I had modern Ken who’s gold 3 star rn. I didn’t take him to platinum as I want to use Ken on classic but to prepare for this I’m playing Ryu on classic ranked 1st till gold to use Ken again on ranked. Some characters I would prefer to use on modern and some on classic. I play a lot of modern and old school fighters and I know a lot of people won’t respect me cuz I play some characters on modern but modern alone motivated me even more for classic and I still use it to this day as it makes some characters like Chun better for me. She just feels so much better to play on modern. For classic I’m getting there. So as someone who is a mix of both. I’d say modern is fine. You don’t really see it competitively that often anyways and it’s not as brain dead as I thought the more I went in depth on it.
17:42 new.player here, last game was SF4/USF4AE. My thing about Drive Reversals is that in the tutorial it is advertised as a sort of retaliation to onslaught or a way to push somone into a wall, but they also say you can react to this with your own in the case of a wall or timing the opponent very well. I noticed that opponents use this and straight up react easily to it with their own to go second to DR you back, like I thought the window was stricter but its really not. So even if I am using it to try and stop someone from offense, it usually just backfires for me right now because theyll just do it right back even in moments I feel like they shouldn't, like after Drive Rushing towards me (the green aura thing??) and starting to use moves I am blocking. No matter what for me right now as a new player, I have resorted to straight defense and getting away from the corner. Or I will try and catch a jump in attack/follow up only to be met with the initial jump in then them reacting with their own Drive. The second scenario I can kind of understand, but the first is driving me crazy right now. 😢
That’s drive impact your talking about, not reversal. Drive reversal is done by pressing forward heavy punch and heavy kick while blocking an attack or when held waking up. There is a point where you should not drive impact as much and should be learning about other aspects of the game.
I kinda hated playing against Modern players until I switched to xbox for a while, the controller on it has a very weird dpad that is virtually impossible to do QC motions bc I have huge hands. I switched to modern and realized how skill based it is, the damage penalty for auto combos is also a huge factor when you're using them and you see your opponent's health barely take a dent after a well placed combo. I switched back to playing on PC(also back to Classic) and, with the new mindset, I actually started noticing how many more M players(on my level, Gold-Platinum) have great fundamentals when compared to C players. I feel that a lot of classic players lab away for dozens of hours to pull off crazy long combos but neglect how to play live, whereas Modern players tend to adapt better for some odd reason.
Modern apologist are just as bad as those that use the control scheme 🥱
Great video, just starting out with a street fighter and this video was great, i use classic but i wanted to understand why people don't just use modern control... 20% its a lot!
Good video mane u should make more like these
As some one who tryed to teach people fighting games this is way better for geting more people into fighting games, teach they HOW to play (like when to anti air, zoning and other thing) then switch to normal mode and learn the buttons and imputs
I spit laughing when MEMPHIS popped up haha! You deserve so many more subscribers!
My take is that modern is great in that it brings people in to the game, it’s relative effective and requires some skill. However my issues are two fold 1) as a long time player, and this is a personal thing, but playing against modern players isn’t As fun. It’s not that I can’t beat them, I can it’s just the game itself is less fun. I feel like I go from play street fighter 6, to patient fighter 6. As a classic player because of the speed of those supers and specials, you start to play really conservatively, things like burnout pressure and DI becomes ineffective because of that 1 button level 1. It’s not bad, it’s just different and to me personally it’s not as fun. The second is more general. I worry that what modern gives you is so good at an early level where people are jumping and whiffing all the time that it becomes a crutch and modern players aren’t learning the actual ins and outs of the game in the same way we do organically. I’ve played lots of modern players in diamond and master who clearly didn’t even know what a shimmy was.
Solid content fam
it's just kinda pointless i guess. not just talking about modern but all the input changes over the past 20 years. 3s dumbed down input leniency from CPS2. SF4 did it from 3rd strike, 5 removed links and killed combo execution and 6 added modern... but none of it was needed. a normal person can master special moves in a CPS2 era game in like a few days. execution is to a fighting game the same way aiming is to an FPS. and if CS players can sit and grind spray control all day yet the FGC gets spooked at having to do a clean DP motion. it just looks bad. i don't play 6. i played it at launch and got 3 characters to master. and said the game wasn't for me. i hated drive. that's all i needed to know. but if you can't do basic special inputs. i just assume you don't actually play fighting games. because it's the type of thing that i have taught friends to do literally within a few days. who have no interest in playing the game outside of a super basic level. modern isn't this super scrubby feature like people claim. but it's just kinda pointless.
I mean, some people have physical disabilities, so that’s one reason it exists
@@puppyplaysemall doesn't the existence of combos nullify that point ? like ok you removed special moves. but unless you are going to make every characters optimal BNB mashing one button. would this same disability not prevent them from doing optimal combos therefor losing out on more damage ? like they still would need to cancel normals into DR with a forward dash input or link crouching normals from standing or even command normals in the case of dhalsim. by that point you have already used back and down in a specific sequence there is only one direction left and you have yourself a tatsu input lmao. but even if you want to take the stance of no combos. everything should be an auto combo and no directional inputs.. would you say other games also have to do this ? surely the people with these disabilities don't STRICTLY want to play fighting games ? should every FPS game have auto aim ? because i would imagine these disabilities that impact your ability to do a quarter circle would FOR SURE impact your ability to aim right ? or a moba should a game not have skill shots as that would be impacted by a disability of the same degree ? you could even balance it say in CS if you use the auto aim feature an AK won't one shot on a head shot and fires slower or the AWP isn't a one shot to the body ? surely there are people with disabilities who also want to play counter strike or mobas ? would you say those games are bad because they have no accessibility options to get rid of the executional barrior . the disability arguement kind of goes out the window when you claim a fireball is excluding people with disabilities but combos don't, especially when they require directional inputs, dhalsims basic drive rush combo starts from a crouch jab drive rush into back mp as it forces standing needed for yoga blast. like that's a pretty fucking specific disability considering the fireball is much easier lmao. pair this along side when you consider other games exist that also have skill sets that would make it difficult for those with disabilities but you would say that's inerhant to the game. the same way execution to some level is inherant to street fighter.
Dude, you can also drive rush cancel with parry, as in pressing parry during a normal does a drive rush cancel. Also, aim assist exists for many shooters. Not csgo, but many.
That modern controller should never ever be in sf6 in the first place why classic controller should have it hard doing specials and super while modern should press one button that's cheap and cheating so as I said before modern controller is for damn lazy people who want game too damn easy and don't have a brain in their head like they using a damn touchscreen screen controller that's for phone and never ever should be on PS4/PS5 controller because they don't need to have reactions just press one button smhh so again I don't respect NO!!!! Modern player controller.
Modern controller is for lazy ass people who don't really wanna learn the game and want it easy like mortal Kombat 3 with Kool stuff and koller stuff etc with one button finishing and 2 button special I don't respect NO modern controller player .
My opinion about Modern is - it’s the same format as some anime fighting games. No one is complaining so why are there complaints on SF6? At the end of the day, it’s up to the player who decides whether or not they will be good at the character
i use modern, it;s great
as a modern player i try to use all the classic inputs i can use for damage and only take the advantages of modern inputs for reactions when im in burnout or anti airs. That's just a way to play ppl should take it easy... great video btw
Can you use classic inputs using modern controls then?
@@MultiRoyds I just saw this message, and yes, for example if I'm doing a combo finishing with a DP or any super I always do the motion inputs for more damage
Ok scrub
I like modern because the M tilts them before the game even starts
😂
why does luke have feet sounds
Hella underrated video.
Great conclusion "modern players are just another hurdle for you to jump over" well said. Dont freak out over nothing guys. if modern was truly OP we would see all the top tournament players use it.
As a modern player, I love it when my opponent tries to jump over me.
@loayzc10 right. We're not less than because we enjoy a certain set up lol. In mk11 (for example) you could choose some of your moves. I lose moves using modern. I don't see the problem unless it's a skill issue. If someone is GOOD their gonna beat me regardless of what controls I have. Better neutral game, parries, di. All give you defensive options.
Modern players are parasites 🚮 Not a hurdle
Im a modern player. i just liked the control scheme and i stuck with it. currently have 4 chars on master using modern. And i swear to god- sometimes i think one of the bigger benefits of using modern is that ur opponent is thinking about it. I rarely use the special buttons and most of the time play like i would with classic since i dont want the dmg reduction. But i still get away with shit i feel like i never get away with when im on classic 😂 and the amount of people who rage quit when im on modern compared to classic is just so funny. If you have some procentage of troll in your body i highly recommend modern.
clearly, modern controls is modeled after blade strangers
ok, that's cool, i think I'll stay subscribed and see where it goes!
Losing moves because you picked Simple Controls? Why? It all fits there idk why we're still doing the same dumb bullshit from 1996.
You literally have less buttons to work with when multiple assist buttons/triggers are mapped to what would be normal attack buttons in Classic Mode. It's not malicious, just a necessary evil. The developers picked the moves they thought would be best to have at least. Besides, would someone who wants a simplified experience really care that they don't have approximately nine additonal attacks they'd have to study the use cases for? The aim of the game is to have fun, and more homework kind of puts a damper on that anyway, so I'd say it works out nicely anyway.
The random clips was really funny lol.

Nice no need internet Thank u man from phillipines
this is maybe just a big pet peeve of mine but if you’re saying a word that ends in est, for example “easiest”, you don’t say “most-“ in front of it. You wouldn’t ever say “this is the most easiest to explain”. That’s totally improper. I dont know i hope i don’t sound like a dick but like i hear it so often in TH-cam videos where people are reading off scripts and everything is recorded so it’s like… there’s really no reason improper grammar and english should be making it into a video. sorry 😅
Oh, yeah, that’s fair, I don’t know why but I seem struggle with my grammar, plus I didn’t really have a script, so that may have played into that problem, but I do think I speak more naturally without a script, most of the time.
While I think its ok overall in terms of accessibility and getting more casual people into the genre, getting hit by a modern controls combos feels so bad every time because you know it takes significantly less skill. I wish they gave modern control users more incentive to learn classic controls without just outright nerfing MC compared to CC. I also think it’s probably gonna stunt a lot of people’s ability to try out any of the past games which stinks because the older games are still great. It also might hurt people’s ability to go into other fighters, that aren’t like dbfz. Its gonna take a lot of work to break that kind of mashing instinct both fighterz and modern controls in SF6 drill into new players.
Combos and special attacks aren’t really the only things that make a good player though, there are things like meter management and footsies and quite a few other things that make a player good. I do kind of understand the frustrations of facing a modern player, but it’s not any different then, say, facing a Honda spamming headbutt. It’s not hard to do and is very hard to deal with as a defender, but, has weaknesses that If you put the time into learning, can be easy to deal with. I also kind of get that it might make moving onto other fighting games challenging, but that’s kind of true with moving from and to any other fighting game. In fact, some fighting games have DRASTICALLY different controls and systems. It’s either 6 attack buttons, 4 attacks, maybe the special move buffering is different, has either links or Gatling combos, etc.
@@puppyplaysemall Obviously modern controls don’t eliminate skill from the game, but they do simplify a lot of it. In regards to footsies they turn hit confirms into mashing instead of actually needing to be aware of when you hit the opponent and what buttons or moves you should use when you actually land a hit. And of course meter management in general is still a thing, but resource management is kind of separate from a lot of the other skills in fighting games in general. If anything it does make it easier because you’re able to focus more on meter control than execution of combos and special moves because those are easier to do with MC, so you have more brain power to focus on that aspect, but meter control in SF6 is pretty unique in general. Basically every universal mechanic as well as EX moves all draw from the same resource, and supers getting their own resource to pull from. Starting the match with full EX move capability is pretty cool and not something many other fighters do. I guess that makes SF6 as a whole a more difficult game to jump from into other series or previous games, which isn’t a bad thing and is not limited to MC. And yes many games differ significantly in combo structure and neutral, many fundamentals carry over. Things like hit confirms, special move inputs, super inputs, doing them on reaction, and basic mechanics of combo structure like special cancelling carry over between plenty of fighting games, but with those aspects of the game being simplified by MC it can make it harder to learn those mechanics in an unfamiliar game, which is part of why I wish MC led people into classic controls more naturally than they do. I want new players to get into other fighters, but if a new game is too unforgiving to someone too used to simplified gameplay then it could cause them to quit a lot of new games as a whole. That being said, I think conceptually they are very beneficial and definitely helped draw a lot of people to the game, I just with the execution was a bit different. It sucks for CC players because they feel like they’re losing to a cheap mechanic that seems like it takes less skill, and it sucks for MC players who feel like they wouldn’t be able to play in a less limiting mode like CC that offers more options to the player, but it isn’t like I know how to balance it either
Ultimately, a player that wants to stick on modern controls might actually never want to play another fighting game, unless of course they have played another fighting game before. You also gotta keep in mind that there are other things newer players consider cheap, turtling guiles, head butting Hondas, full screen sliding Kimberly’s, etc. You also say things like MC players haven’t transitioned into classic. You can feel the drop-off of modern players in higher ranks, either due to modern players swapping to classic or some modern players hesitancy to learn, which is where I kind of agree on the fact the modern players may be quite scared to learn more. But there’s a pretty high chance that they’re just playing for fun, even in ranked. Also, about the mashing auto combos for whiff punishes, that does sound like something that could create bad habits, but it kinda relies on players on Both sides to understand footsies, which is spacing, if you space wrong you hit your opponents block. If you space right, your opponent would have to throw out a button at the right time. Heck, they could just see the mashing and DI it. Plus, players could just mash mediums and drive rush cancel on classic anyways, which is less risky, easier, and you get more from it. Also I personally think that modern already kind of incentivizes learning classic inputs. Once again, there is a 20% damage reduction. I know I said that capcom isn’t exactly incentivizing Modern players to use classic. I still mostly believe that, though they are trying to incentivize the use of motion inputs which increases the reward for a modern player that learns how to do special inputs, which can carry over.
Yes it is . Play Mario
Have you?
@puppyplaysemall yes I have , I'm still very skilful player at Street Fighter, lots of things you can't do other than playing street fighter. I don't care M controls shouldn't be used against classic controls
Alright then, provide me with your cfn. I wanna see your replays. And also, which Mario games have you played? Which one is your favorite?
YES! I recently downloaded the sf4 mobile and was like "wait... this is the modern control system"
Yeah, I actually made a guess before sf6 got released and before more info got revealed about modern controls that it would be similar to sf4 mobile. During that time I saw a ton of people complaining about one button, no charge flash kicks. Boy were they wrong about that.
Yeah mobile game controls for ranked what a pathetic joke
While I think it's cool that SF6 added modern controls, I can see they have a lot of problems. I thought of my own modern style of controls that hopefully fixes some things. First off, there are only two buttons for normal attacks, one for punch and one for kick, and depending on which direction you hold you get a different strength of attack like neutral gets you lights, back gets you mediums and forward gets you heavys. Then there are two special buttons for punch and kick specials, and of course the direction dictates what special you get. Pressing either punch and special punch or kick and special kick together lets you do EX specials, and to do supers you use a simple motion input like quarter-circle forward. I don't know how much these changes help but this is just something I thought of. Let me know what you think.
Seems like an interesting idea, though I think the issues might be that it 1, might make it too complicated, and 2. May potentially limit the grounded normals a character can use like overheads or other unique normals unless you completely change the input. And 3. could make some players that are capable of and want to transition into classic struggle with the transition as they don’t really have a way of learning and integrating dp inputs like the current modern controls can. Since you can still do the actual dp input and even super inputs for higher damage.
Pretty good video all in all. I would polish up your voiceover in a few small ways (although if you don't have a dedicated way like a closet in order to record in I fully understand) and the same for your script. (like how you can still get the other strength of special moves on modern if you do the input yourself, compared to some air and grounded normals being *completely* absent) I do think a few aspects of your editing could also stand a better representation next time you do a video like this such as at 1:40 and showing different move inputs looking cluttered, but in spite this you're already putting more effort into it than most youtubers that do plain voiceovers over gameplay, and for that I'm glad you exist. More people could stand to get into cool editing but its way too often a rarity. I want to know as I'm currently also striving towards cool editing, how do you do some of the fancier stuff like the green screened character models moving around, is it just digging deep into numerous tutorials online? And what software do you use?
Thanks for this comment! I don’t really have a dedicated spot to record voiceovers. I do have a closet, but not really the kind I can sit in. I actually didn’t have a script for this as I struggle to not only make one, but when I do I feel less genuine in what I would say. But even then I can very much see why there might be parts that I could’ve made much clearer. I do see what you also mean by having a lot of clutter during that part, that’s something I might have to work on in future videos, that is, if I ever do this kind of video again, as this was just a way for me to improve my editing skills while also stating some information and also stating my opinions. Speaking of editing, while I did look at a few guides, most of my editing came from trying to replicate things I saw in videos I would usually watch and the green screen stuff was me using reframework and a plugin to get certain angles that I thought would work with what I was imagining. Most of the backgrounds are just pictures or videos stuck at a certain angle, maybe with some blur added, specifically Gaussian blur, I think it’s called. The editing software I use is Vegas pro 18 I think that covered everything, If I’m missing anything or if there’s anything else you want to know, let me know.
@@puppyplaysemall You didn't have a script at all? Damn now that I envy you on lol, I can't do a voiceover without any sort of word document in front of me, not yet anyways. Thanks for telling me how you did the fancier things, and once again, good work! It's rare people come out with pretty solid work for close to if not their first attempts but you managed to.

Great Video Man.......make more (this isnt a request)
For players like my with a physical disability modern is a huge deal. My condition impacts my left hand and anything more than quarter-circles makes my hand spasm up and in SFIV that meant i was limited to charge characters. In SFV when Ed and Falke came out i was so happy i could finally use a character's whole moveset even if the characters themselves were not my taste. And now in SF6 i can finally play Zangief and use his SPD even better i can play every character in the game and focus on footsies/mindgames without worrying about my hand. I understand why people get frustrated but modern controls are the reason that people like me can finally enjoy SF to the fullest.
Oh yeah! That’s a point I should’ve made in the video. I absolutely agree with this. I also like that this allows people with physical abilities to compete in tournaments. This plus the audio stuff they added for the blind really makes street fighter quite an accessible fighting game and video game in general.
I've been saying this for a long time. Modern controls need to be completely banned and removed from the game because it's literally a unfair cheat put in the game so people with literal mental and physical disabilities can play as good if not better than normal people and it's completely OP and broken and normal people are lowlifes that are trash are abusing it. It literally is for people with mental and physical disabilities.
Yeah exactly. It's for literal handicapped people and is literally cheating for anyone who isn't physical or mentally handicapped to use.
Yeah it's basically monkey baby level controls designed for cripples. It's an easy mode that's so easy a one handed cripple can play ranked with it. It's a joke. Proof that it needs to be banned from ranked and tournaments.

I don't play Ryu, but I though the alternate special move strengths can still be input by motion controls even on modern settings. Is Ryu an exception? I should just not make this comment until I can go home and check myself...
Ryu can do that, it’s just that the only moves that aren’t available for him to input is donkey kick. So he’s restricted to medium donkey kick on down sp, or light donkey kick in his light auto combo.
The editing is awesome btw!
Thanks!
I used to sink so many hours on SF4 on my phone it was crazy how satisfying landing those combos felt !
I did too! I almost had every characters combo trials complete, I will say the combos did seem quite easier on mobile compared to actual sf4, there might be input buffering on mobile, or maybe I’m just crazy.
