Beatiful quilling with metal dreamcatcher and an important announcement
มุมมอง 5082 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey everyone! I'm back with another beautiful quilling project, a quilling dreamcatcher to be more precise. I say I'm back because I missed last week's video, and that is due to some new challenges and opportunities that appeared on the horizon. In light of them, I will be taking some time away from my beloved quilling projects to focus on some new things as well. I will keep posting quilling v...
Let's make a cute quilling heart, with a 3D printed twist - DIY Quilling
มุมมอง 8202 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey everyone! I had this cute 3D printed heart sitting around in my project drawer and I finally decided to do something with it. I didn't have an exact plan as to what I wanted, but I decided on the colors and went from there. You can replicate my design on a piece of thick paper or color cardboard, cause I know not everyone has access to a 3D printer. Anyway, the shapes are easy to do, albeit...
How to make a beautiful quilling pinwheel - Easy DIY Quilling
มุมมอง 4732 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey everyone! I have a cute project for you today, a quilling pinwheel to be more precise. Well, it's actually my interpretation of a pinwheel with the quilling technique. I got my inspiration from a child I saw playing with one some days ago and I remembered I really enjoyed mine when I was little. I really like making swirls and working with them and this was the perfect opportunity. This lit...
Elegant quilling geometric earrings - DIY Quilling
มุมมอง 4512 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey everyone! Today I'm going to show you how to make a beautiful pair of quilling earrings, with some geometric shapes. I even had to do some math to calculate exactly where to put some pieces in my design, but it was all worth it in the end. The strips of paper I used are 3mm paper strips, and while I know it's fiddly to work with them, you'll get awesome results that look great so, just get ...

Swirl Flower Fridge Magnet - Easy DIY Quilling
มุมมอง 6302 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey everyone! I have an easy project for you today, which you can use in various ways. It's a quilling fridge magnet with swirls and a flower, but it can easily change it's purpose to a key hanger, just by adding two wire hooks. This project is an exercise in imagination, because the project I was working on didn't turn out the way I had hoped, so I had to improvise. Of course, I went looking t...

มุมมอง 2572 ปีที่แล้ว
Hey everyone! Are you keen to try and make some quilling jewelry today? Well, I've got just the thing, namely a pair of earrings, which I called harlequin earrings, because I got inspiration for them from a cute harlequin decoration I saw a few days ago. Anyway, you only need to know two shapes for these, an eccentric teardrop with the quilling comb and a tight coil. You'll have them ready in n...

Hey everyone! I'm going to show you how to create four complex quilling flower models today. One of the difficulties I faced when I was a beginner was figuring out the right approach to doing things, to be more precise, which shapes to use and how to combine them to get more interesting patterns. Well, I thought I'd show you how you can use eccentric teardrops and circle loopings, each in two w...

Hey everyone! I've got an elegant pair of quilling earrings for you today. Very nice. If you recorded a video so that we could make one too, you should provide information about the length of the tapes you use and whether you use whole ones or, for example, cut in half. Without this data, it is difficult to make products, at least for beginners.

Use your tweezers to get rid of the kink in the centre of your coil. Also, when glueing the strips together, glue each strip slightly lower than the previous one. This gives a much neater beginning and ending.

This turned out beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing. I know my mom will love it. I also have another question. Are all the strips of quilling paper you use 30 cm long? I want to try making the blue and white, I think its white, it is for my daughter. She had a fire in her apartment last month and lost everything. She is now trying to rebuild her life with her two sons. I know she would love to have a cross in her new place. Thanks again for the tutorials. What length of strip do you use? I tried using a 21 inch strip x 3 and it did not work out. How many loops as well did you use? I want to make this cross for my mom. I know she would love it. Please let me know. Thank you.

    • @quillingtime2660
      @quillingtime2660 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Hello! I use normal A4 length dimensions, almost 30 cm a strip. So, in the beginning, for the smaller parts, I used 4 strips x 30 cm each = 120 cm. This long strip I circle looped it on a comb with really close teeth, like the ones you use for cats or horses or for bobbing your hair. If you use a comb with a bigger distance between its teeth, it will all come out loose and won't hold its shape. When you take it off the comb, shape it like I did, modifying the thicker part and creating some sort of triangle with curved corners, while you hold in place with your fingers the rest of the shape, because you don't want the circle loops from the tip to move, you want them in place, to keep that nice and even appearance. Regarding the number of loops I used, I think they were around 20-21, depending on your comb. If it helps, you can use more strips and loop twice on each tooth, to make it thicker. Let me know how it works out. If I can help you with anything else, you can message me any time, I will try and help gladly.
