This one is really really nice. Can I efficiently connect a southeast facing array to input one of the first MPPT and a southwest facing array to input two of the first MPPT AND two differently oriented arrays to the two inputs on the second MPPT without one array bringing down the production of the other array? Or should all panels connected to MPPT 1 have the same orientation, etc.?

MPPT Configuration The SNA 12K inverter is equipped with 2 MPPTs and 4 strings, with each MPPT supporting 2 strings. 2. Panels Connected to a Single MPPT All PV panels connected to the same MPPT must have the same orientation, power rating, and quantity per string to ensure optimal performance. 3. Panels Connected to Multiple MPPTs You can connect arrays with different orientations, power rating and quantity to separate MPPTs without any issues.

@LUXPOWERTEK Thank you for your answer. I don't want to sell energy to the grid. I only want to know if in offgrid mode in winter there is no energy from the sun and I want to charge the battery from the grid, can the inverter try to affect the grid in some way, or if in offgrid mode it will try to export at least a few Watts to the grid. I am prohibited from exporting even a few Watts, will it affect the grid even minimally when charging the battery from the network? Thank you and best regards

Regarding your question, due to hardware limitations of the old SNA 5K model, it unfortunately cannot support upgrades to include the smart load feature or AC coupling through the GEN port. Hi Sir, Sure, this inverter, which we refer to as off-grid, is ideal for areas where on-grid regulations are strict and selling energy to the grid is not allowed. The inverter can work with the grid, PV, battery, generator, and existing grid-tied systems.

Hi Sir, The SNA 6K’s separate GEN port supports connections to a generator, AC coupling, or a smart load. The AC coupling function allows integration with your existing grid-tied system, enabling it to serve as an AC power source through the GEN port.

On the other hand, low-frequency inverters tend to be bulkier, less efficient (generally below 90%), and have higher idle power losses due to constant iron loss, especially under light loads. Additionally, their adaptability to unstable grids can sometimes be limited. Ultimately, the best choice depends on the user’s specific needs, such as system size, efficiency requirements, budget, and compatibility. Regarding the Smart Load port functionality, it supports connecting either smart loads or an AC coupling system. Please note that only one device can be connected at a time. As for your third question, the PV power from the AC coupling system (SNA 5K system) will be integrated into the SNA 12K system, helping to charge the battery and power the load together.

Hello Sir, thank you for the informative video. I have a question regarding the 6kW ECO Hybrid Luxpower inverter. How do you set the inverter to keep the battery full or almost full as first priority and then send the excess power from the PVs to the load? My system is grid-tied, but I don't want the battery drained when there is a sudden power-outage. The power can sometimes be out for 2-4 days and then the system must use maximum solar power to charge the battery and take the loads. By sundown, the battery should be charged again. Can you assist me with these settings?
Hi Sir, Thank you for reaching out to Luxpower. Regarding your request, you can set the working mode to "AC First" and configure the start and end times between 00:00 and 23:59. This will prioritize grid power for load consumption, while the PV power will be used to charge the battery. Additionally, you can set the stop discharge threshold for the battery between 20% and 30%. Once the battery’s state of charge (SOC) reaches the set value, it will stop discharging.
If on AC coupling mode, if all battery has been fully charge and load is below the PV generation, would the extra power be exported?
As shown in the video, if you don't enable the AC coupling function, the existing on-grid system will not integrate with the hybrid system to either supply power to the load or export surplus energy to the grid. In a hybrid system, the scenario you described is a typical application: when there is surplus power, it can be exported to the grid.
The warning about checking the polarity before turning on the inverter: Are you referring to the PV polarity, or something to do with the GRID / CT connections?

I understand that the generator should have a minimum power requirement but I don't understand why the generator should have a maximum power requirement. Shouldn't the inverter draw as much amp it's designed to draw or that it needs at a given moment, regardless of how much amps or power the generator can supply? (I'm assuming both generator and inverter are operating at the same voltage and frequency e.g. 220/230V AC and 50Htz.)

The reason for recommending a maximum generator capacity when connecting to our inverter is to ensure the system operates efficiently and meets basic household power needs during emergencies, such as nighttime outages when the battery is depleted. Our GEN 3-6K has a breaker at the GEN interface rated at 40A/230V. This means the generator’s output current to the system will not exceed 40A, regardless of its capacity. Connecting a generator with significantly higher capacity would not provide additional benefits to the system and may result in unnecessary waste of resources. Therefore, we recommend selecting a generator size within the specified range to optimize system efficiency while meeting the household’s essential power requirements.

As we know, In Italy, the connection of inverters to the electricity grid is regulated by specific technical standards and requirements established by ARERA (Autorità di Regolazione per Energia, Reti e Ambiente) and other authorities. One of the key standards is CEI 0-21, which defines the technical requirements for grid-connected inverters to ensure safety, stability, and compatibility with the grid. ARERA enforces these regulations to guarantee compliance with the national electricity grid's operational standards. If an inverter does not comply with the CEI 0-21 certification or ARERA's regulations, it cannot legally be connected to the electricity grid. These regulations are designed to protect both the grid infrastructure and end users. Abituato a seguire i vostri webinar in inglese, svolti da personale preparato sui prodotti, ho trovato questo molto povero di informazioni utili. Bisognerebbe quantomeno conoscere le caratteristiche del prodotto che si illustra. Non vogliatemene ma il manuale potevo leggermelo da solo. É vero che è un prodotto di nicchia rispetto alle versioni certificate cei021, ma chi ha espresso interesse per il webinar ed il prodotto stesso merita più rispetto e più informazioni rispetto al riassunto del manuale.

Hello, Regarding the CT - How does it work to provide power to non-essential (devices on input side) to receive power and NOT export?
Hi Sir, Thank you for reaching out. Are you interested in understanding the working principle of CT in a solar system? The CT detects the inverter's input and output currents in real time to ensure proper system operation. When connected to the power grid, the CT monitors the direction and magnitude of the grid current flow, determining whether power is flowing from the inverter to the grid or from the grid to the inverter. This functionality helps prevent excess power from being fed back into the grid. Additionally, our inverters offer a one-button setting, "Export to Grid," which allows you to disable power feeding to the grid. @LUXPOWERTEK Thank you, but I'm asking if I enable export to Grid and set it to 0% will the inverter power my non essential loads and not export to grid? (therfore charge batteries, power essential AND non-essential). Where non-essential loads are connected on the input side of the inverter?
@@christoffkruger If you need to power the non-essential load and not export the power to grid, please disable the function" Export to Grid". If you enable the function" Export to Grid" and set it to 0%, also can reach not to export excess power to grid. Please don't worry for the non-essential load if the utility is always on.
Please help to figureout with Smart Load. Can it work without sun? My case: I would like to charge my vehicle, usuarelly this is at night time using Battery, where I acumulated an energy during day. I am setting Start PV Power(kW) to 0, Battery settings: from 40% to 100% and Grid Always On - Disable - In this case it doest work. Is it required a sun?
If I enabling Grid Always On - it works, but takes a power from a grid directly instead batteries.
@@artemchubenko Hi Sir, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the smart load function operates based on the inverter's default mode if "Grid Always On" is disabled. You configured it by setting the Smart Load Start SOC to 100% and Smart Load End SOC to 40%. This means that when the battery SOC reaches 100%, it will begin discharging to support the smart load, and when it drops below 40%, it will stop discharging for the smart load. However, if you enable "Grid Always On," the smart load will remain active regardless of the battery SOC.
@ thanks for prompt answer. However when I turn it on, the energy is coming directly from grid instead of batteries. I just want to figure out. That should to be like that or I am missing something.
@@artemchubenko Hi Sir, have you checked the SOC of battery, if the battery SOC drops the value of on-grid cut off SOC in the battery discharging option, the battery will stop to discharge to take the loads(including the smart load).
