    So I'm recovering from a baker's cyst on the back of my knee when it burst it was so painful it warranted a trip to the ER. The whole thing started when I tore the meniscus in my knee which required surgery. After the recovery period I returned to work with limited success. Then the baker cyst formed and burst and this is till the issue. I followed all the protocols with elevation ice and compression. Not a cure all by any means.

    Doctor I injured my lower back 10 months back, i just went to an orthopedic doctor where he prescribed me painkiller medicines for a week. Right now all i have is mild burning sensation pain, weak feeling pain and can't do heavy lifting or bending down work much. Should i go for MRI once to know the actual diagnosis, what do you suggest me?Please reply

    This really helps, thank you! I had terrible pain walking just a few blocks today. But now I can lift my bent leg to just below hip level with no pain, which is a huge improvement.

    Im not sure about the compression tape but its worth a try! I tore my ACL decades ago and yes I have other knee problems which is why i finally got an MRI. So the “fix the originating problem” is not possible now, at 75! This the most pain I’ve had in my bad knee , even after tearing ACL.It just aches so deeply off and on all day. How long to ice it and do I alternate with heat? its hard to believe drs don’t just aspirate it!!

    You mentioned not to change alignment of the spine and pelvis… if you had a client who has an anterior tilt with flared ribcage. Would cueing a settle posterior tilt and dropping of the rib cage help them to feel a brace?

    Why is the tilt not okay, I was told to do the tilt and flatten the back on the ground before bridging up and this was a practice before we did hip thrusts, is this wrong? 😅

    Wow. Thank you for sharing. I have some of those bands for "flossing" the knee and did not think of applying that to the B Cyst I have behind both knees. 1 of them has become bothersome. By the way, that dog is beyond "chill" and his attentiveness is commendable. I think he got as much out of this as I did. He acts like he's heard it before, but he loves your lectures. Peace.

      nah it actually a bit bad for your insides. Bracing is only for specific motion. Holding it all day long not only does almost nothing to build it stenght, you also gonna put some extra (the bad kind) pressure for you guts so just leave it for exercise or when you lift, carry something heavy (sorry for mistakes, not my native)

      No, it is not normal, but it is common for people to have those mistakes when trying to brace their core for the first time what you have to do is you have to squeeze your butt together like you’re smashing them together that’s how you activate or engage your glutes. Once they’re engaged your lower back naturally falls into a neutral position so your butt doesn’t wink out. But make sure you keep that engagement throughout the exercise or whatever you’re doing.

    My ruptured bakers cyst 2as diagnosed less than a week ago. When I asked about physio I was told to just go home and rest...not helpful. Also told that it is probably caused by osteoarthritis. I am 66 and feel this was the main argument no question of are you fit and otherwise healthy? Ever been in pain before? Definitely NOT telated to spraining my knee 4 weeks ago when running with my dog. Whatever, this is really helpful, thank you. Apart from the depressing comments about it lasting for years...

      Some useful advice I got was to imagine you have to pull up your suspenders from your ovaries or hip bones. Keep breathing while the sides of your abdomen come into view.

    Thank you for making this video. I've been dealing with this issue for months, now. Everyday for the past 9mos I have to ascend + descend 3 flights of stairs, multiple times an hour. Additionally, I am on my feet all day long, everyday + also have to exercise my dog on long walks. I have a ridiculously high pain threshold + am often able to power through but, today, not so much.... feeling very frustrated, overwhelmed + anxious - hoping these exercises help 😩

    Ok I’m going through this. My MRI showed a bakers cyst and a torn meniscus and a torn ligament. My specialized orthopedic dr. (Best in our area) said the cyst is due to other problems. I am having surgery on next Friday to fix the meniscus and ligament, but he does not drain the cyst or take it out. It will deflate after my other problems and dry up on it’s on. For your info- the cyst is due to other problems in your knee

      @@ReasonablySpeaking9808 my knee is much better. The only thing is it pops sometimes but it’s way better than the pain. I think if I had to go back I would have got me some better structured shoes where they didn’t wear off on the sides. I think the constant slant on my knee caused this. But yea I’m good

    I'm SO thankful I found your website on line. Your course on sciatic pain has helped me more than any other doctor/surgeon or PT I've been to. My PT was having me stretch my piriformis muscle so many times a day and twist my lower back all the time. My pain always exploded for the days following my visits. I quit going after a little over a month. Just paying attention to my posture and following your advice has lowered my inflammation tremendously. Your analogy of thinking of my pain as a wound that I keep picking at everytime I round my back or twist it hit home. I'm following your advice by the letter and I'm finally feeling relief after over a year of constant pain. I'm sorry your personal fitness plan is not available. I would've paid for more advice in a heartbeat. I learn more from PTs on TH-cam than from any orthopedic surgeon. Their answer for everything is surgery. Thanks for teaching strangers how to fix themselves without going ünder a knife. Godspeed.
