tried finding the original version of this on nicovideo, after realizing it was never uploaded there and doing a bit of further digging id like to clear up some misconceptions ive seen here in the comments, as it might be helpful for other ppl who view this vid in the future too. no, this isnt lost media nor it ever was. its also not a full version - the first part where the scientist creates (or rather re-creates) miku and the second in where she's inside of the capsule singing are two different, separate tracks. the first is called "Start Sequence", and the second is "melody..." as most know. both are from a DVD titled melody.EXE Ver.2.00 and released by mikuru396 in 2008, which is why you cant find an original, unsubbed upload of the whole thing. what you CAN find though is the first part in a separate upload by searching "melody start sequence setup exe" here on youtube. all of this info is taken from vocadb: vocadb.net/Al/18261

This is so wild, I've been on the ride vocaloid/hatsune-wise since the beginning and I had NEVER seen the first part, I'm also noticing some extra sounds in the instrumentation that weren't present in subsequent reuploads of melody.exe too! I'm blown away...

Poi, dopo, uso Piapro per modificare alcune delle sillabe italiane in quanto "in, con, su, per, tra, fra", Miku e tutti gli altri Vocaloid, essendo giapponesi, non riescono a leggerli bene. Nel senso che disegnando delle nor solo per farci stare "in, con, su, per, tra, fra"... non credo faccia bene ai Vocaloid.
