Best advice I can give for this game is practice getting comfortable moving your mouse in the shape of an infinite symbol, trying to always have the lines cross in the centre. There you start off with 4 basic attacks, top left to bottom right, top right to bottom left, bottom left to top right, bottom right to top left. Try to move the mouse smoothly around the curve of the infinite symbol pattern but go straight when cutting. Try to move the sword as little as possible while doing these movements, so you are never too far away from the centre position. That's the basic drill I used to start translating my real world experience with a longsword into the game. Once you have those 4 basic cuts you can then add in overhead, followed by horizontal cuts, and get those in too. With a basic set of moves which would be like your automatic button presses in any other game you can then really start playing about with techniques. And if I may bring in a better expert; Miyomoto Musashi reminds us to not swing with the attitude of slashing or hitting the opponent, but only to reach over and cut him. (Keep your movements smooth and don't move too fast) As for the parrying you basically have to do it manually, just put your sword in the way, controlling with the mouse, can even bounce, deflect or catch depending on the attitude you put into the mouse. I've found it works best to not think about it and just move instinctively with your opponent's blade

Parrying is semi-automatic. You parry passively by just keeping the mous buttons pressed, and the weapon or shield in front of you. You can also actively parry by moving your shield or weapon to intercept the enemy’s weapon. What I would like to learn actually, is how to bind, and handle binds. If it’s even possible

Try with more diagonal cuts. They must be even more overpowered with the zweihander :D

there's a convoluted way to get full custom loadouts. A combination of Half Sword Trainer Mod and the one your using. Spawn in the items with Half Sword Trainer Mod. Then save it with the other mod. Cool vid :)

sadly, the dagger is absolute dog water once in the clinch and disappoints heavily, keep in mind that the ai currently does not stam out either but you do. learn the semi cirlce strike to get around shields better often cutting the neck. you can do this by having a basic stance with the longsword or arming sword out front of the body, push it to one side left or right, then launch it upward and around using the wrist to snap it towards youre opponents neck once once at the end of the semi circle. fucks em up bad lol

ive found that if you highkick after getting a blunt hit to the head or helmet they fall over really easy

With panning, you are not guaranteed to get loot every single time. There’s a chance of getting one of various items, or nothing. For bony soil, there’s a different loot table, usually rarer or more valuable items. PS temporal stability is patchy, some areas are stable, some are not, and it varies. You may find a mountain that is temporally stable.
