As a 19 year old kid who grew up in a small agricultural city in Northeast Ohio, farming has always been a love of mine. Although I do not come from a farming family, I have always loved the farming lifestyle and understand the importance that farming has in feeding the world. I have always had a fascination with the "Great Plains Harvest" since I was little. I've always been miserized by the crews that would travel the United States on the "Great American Wheat Run". It's always been a dream of mine to join one of these crews. This year, my dream will come true.
Follow my adventures as I travel to Nebraska to join a very reputable farm and help with their personal crops in addition to going on the "Great American Wheat Run". There will definitely be a lot of sarcasm along the way.

Weed Zapping Organic Soybeans

Here’s how it works: A PTO generator mounted on the back of the tractor powers an electrical transformer (like the ones you see on power poles). The electricity is then sent up to copper rods on the front toolbar, targeting and zapping any weeds that stand taller than the soybeans! 🔌🔥 No chemicals, just pure electric power to keep our fields clean and healthy!

Yeah they could, but our truck drivers aren't used to doing that. It also doesn't take too long to drive over to the semi and dump.

Cooper, we missed you and we are glad that you are back with more videos for us. Would love to see more milo harvesting in those huge and flat TX fields. Those root rakes behind the Cats are probably ripping out old mesquite scrub land. The best to you.
I’m amazed you drive the equipment 90 miles! Seems like a lot of wear and tear on hydrostatic drives and expensive tires.
We drive ours 200 miles multiple times a year. Cheaper and faster than trucking
So it takes less fuel to drive the machines those distances than put them on a flatbed semitrailer and transport them to the location? Interesting…
I wouldn't say that it takes less fuel to drive the compared to trucking it. At 25 mph, I'm averaging roughly 6-8 gallons per hour for fuel consumption, so that would work out to be roughly 3 miles to the gallon with the tractor. The main advantage is that it's a lot quicker than making two days' worth of trips back and forth with semis to get the equipment there. With trucking, you'd also have to get through the hassle of getting oversize load permits for both with and weight. Otherwise, we'd have to take all the duals off the combines and most likely the tractors.
What happened when you left the milo harvest in the big flat 1000 acre fields in Tx-? Not another mention of the milo harvest there. I was disappointed that there was nothing more about it.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Unfortunately, there's only 10%-15% profit on that since expenses are so high in the farming industry right now.

Yes, we get an entire new fleet of combines and tractors every year. The only thing that doesn't get traded every year is the grain carts. They're usually traded every 3 years.

Long before that I worked on large farms running large tractors and machinery. A hint, SAY Nothing when your thinking and stalling for the next thought..You don't have to fill in dead air..A question ? how do you get around copyright fees playing the music of others? . I'm about to do the same thing you do at age 67 in North Dakota.

East central illinois we cut it when its green as a grass. We try amd cut it at 16 to 18% oir buyer drys it down ours goes for bird seed here. After a frost it is much better for sure. But usually dont get one till were done
