Hidden Falls Adventure Park: My Review of our weekend mini vacation at Hidden Falls. This was just our experience and I don't speak for others: A disappointing experience to say the least. Had a group from Louisiana and Dallas coming in Friday. Got to the gate at 7:05 PM and were told zero entry at this time even though the cabins were already paid for. 7:08 the office help exited out the gate we were stranded at and we were told to come back tomorrow. Saturday told we would have to pay for trails Sunday regardless if we were leaving early AM. Couple was told they would need to purchase 2 primitive camp spots even though they were staying in the same tent, one came from Dallas the other from Houston. 2 minutes into unloading the rigs from the trailer had a “Park Ranger” come asking for documentation of payment. Was informed I would grab it off my truck dash as soon as I finished driving the Jeep of the trailer. Was informed “you don’t need to be that way about it”. Give me a break and harass someone else. Not sure what has changed but this used to be a great destination for a mini vacation. Now you need a vacation from your time here.. free advice, stay at the BRB cabins next door by the river for half the price, half the hassle and twice less stress. The entry times change each year so be sure and check the website for the tiny print every 2 months or whenever they need a price increase. You rob them of the extra $25 late fee if they let you in after 7PM on Fridays. The gate guard was never rude and was just helpless due to management policy. The following parks are a better option in the order of experience: 1. Barnwell Mountain (management changed 5 years ago to an actual off road enthusiast with a great spirit), Wolf’s Cave ( the nicest couple you’ll meet) SMORR Missouri (similar entry restrictions but later arrival and they let you camp at the gate without calling the sheriff) Hot Springs great (spot and office help)

I went down this once not really knowing what it was. There's a video of it somewhere on TH-cam. I've done a lot of off road stuff, but that descent is one of the scariest things I've done.

Love these videos showing the trails. Went down Red Oak on my stock Ranger 500 midsize by mistake on our first trip out. Made it fine and really boosted our confidence

Wildcat Mountain is a pretty easy climb TBH.

The 360 Camara is annoying. Cool video but man,stick to one Camara type

The pitch and roll gauges in Jeeps (and every other vehicle I know of) read in degrees, not percent. So that 25 for the roll was 25 degrees which is much greater thsn 25 percent. A 100 percent grade is 45 degrees. 25 percent is 1/4 of that (11.25 degrees). Regardless, I need to win the lottery so I can get a Jeep like that. Good stuff.

What makes this a level 3 but the end portion of Park Road 2 is still a Level 2? Is there some overlap in difficulty on those? I went this past weekend and after going through some level 2s my wife forbid me to do some level 3s but this looks fairly tame.

Main roads wouldn’t be a bad idea until I get use to it, but could also do some single track as long as there’s no crazy hill climbs, until I get my clutch/throttle control back 😂. I could see some whiskey throttle going on, until I get my balance back😂

How often do you ride? I haven’t ridden in over 12 years. Just picked up a Husky te300. Looking to get some seat time to get comfortable again.

I love the proven 4-Runner platform but the independent front suspension doesn’t move and it’s prone to break. Can’t put big tires on them either. They are very capable four-wheel-drive vehicles, but they are just not in the same class as a Jeep Wrangler.
