Having loved this song for many years thanks to my fascination with the Beatles, I consider While My Guitar Gently Weeps one of the best examples of George Harrison's ability to write masterpieces. I have always admired the instrumentation of this song, particularly the heavy yet unique sound of the guitars, such as Eric Clapton's lead guitar, and the mysterious, heavy bass sound characterized by the ongoing debate about who played it-John or Paul.
