OC Fire Videography
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 25 มี.ค. 2020
Hello, I record fire videos around SoCal area mostly in oc. I don’t just buff in west oc I buff almost all of oc area and other agencies like la and Glendale or out of state . Comment where should I go and what divison should I go too. If have any questions feel free to ask. I live around divison 1 area so you may see a lot of videos from there and I also do a lot of onscene stuff such as structure fires in my area.

Here you see a compilation of responses I got in the past 4 months. Most of these videos were taken during my summer break and trips like Texas and Florida. Now that Summer break has officially ended, I decided to focus on my grades for a bit, spend more time with family and friends, which means I won't have much time to buff. Once again, I will do my best to get videos for yall whenever I am c...

Are you a firefighter
@@lukeskywalker6338 soon will be I am currently studying right now before I take classes and exams required to be one
@@ocfirevideography9989 so you’re still in high school
@@lukeskywalker6338 unfortunately yes I am graduating in a year from now
@@ocfirevideography9989 oh ok, are you gonna be working with OC fire department
@@lukeskywalker6338 it’s one of my dream departments so let’s see how things go for me as of now
That is an old rig. And still main line. I bet they hoping to be top of the list for a new one.
When I talk to a firefighter at Orange County, he said that it’s up to the cities to purchase the rigs. Apparently whenever the city budgets for it.
@@blazer8451 i guess it was a choice. New station or new engine jk. I'm sure it's in the budget mix. It covers the newest part of town. And it's close to hq too
@@blazer8451 county purchases them and they decide where the rigs go. like for example they want a 2021 engine go to fire station 29 even they are not busy. So their old 2018 could go to a slower station
@@ocfirevideography9989 correction I meant the city funds it. The county decides what it needs and goes to the individual city’s to get it approved in their contracted budget. As each city has a different agreement with OCFA. Specifically and example Villa Park is not getting a new engine and unless the city of Villa Park decides to fund it. It’s because it’s contracted and the county isn’t exactly paying for the items that they’re purchasing the joint power agreement cities are.
@@blazer8451 I don't believe either of your two explanations are particularly correct. I've never particularly seen any sort of budget roll through EITHER the SFF or CC cities that make up the JPA - IN PARTICULAR for single line item equipment purchases; such as a new apparatus. Perhaps in the Irvine negotiations - but even then that was a special outlier case that isn't particularly relevant to this. If you logic was true - then we'd see Laguna Wood's budget be astronomically high, with fluxuations every 3 years as we see them onboard new Apparatus all the time from their high attrition rate. Also there are two types of cities in the Fire Authority that make up the JPA. Structural Fire Fund cities, and Cash Contract cities. SFFs are all percentage based, with 10 year agreements, while Cash Contracts are year to year and can be terminated with with notice. If you pay $6 million a year as a CC (with 2% for inflation - or however much it actually ends up increasing year to year (never consistent, but never something comical)) - you're never going to see a random drop in your city's independent budget for "$1.4 Million - Fire Engine" just like that. EVERY department is different - but there is going to be a common theme among regional fire service in that - it's a pooling of resources. If each city individually paid for a rig year over year - why not just make your own fire department? Literally every city would salivate at the mouth for such autonomy. Particularly to OCFA's case - apparatus purchasing, and where a new apparatus will go is decided by the Business Services Department, and the Logistics Department, under Admin. Villa Park doesn't get a new Engine not because they're poor. They don't have one because 23 doesn't have many miles, wear, or tear on it - or at the very least - reached a threshold for replacement as defined internally (such as mileage; for all we know 23 could be close to that replacement threshold - we have no idea as outside observers). All cities fund fully their obligation to the cost of fire service each billing cycle. That's how much they have to pay and they pay it all. It covers anything and everything. The cities do not decide to purchase rigs. The Directors, appointed by each city, from each city, go to the board, to vote on the budget, and approve the budget. After that it's up to purchasing to either make a purchase. Often is the case - they're just adding funds to the designated fund - to eventually make a purchase at a target fiscal year/date.
I wonder if they are going to get one of the new KME engines on the next batch
from what ik I saw a picture of 5 new kme engines coming so let's hope 37 gets one all ik is 65's is getting one

Awesome video! I was in Anaheim back in October and had the worst luck with catching any fire photography. Best I got was Anaheim E1 leaving quarters, Anaheim E2 leaving quarters, and OCFA E86 at a "car fire" on auto aid. Joy lol
