My latest metal detecting help video answers the age old question, are you better off ignoring obvious trash signals or digging them up?
You explained nothing. I have a used tesoro with no manual
Awesome video! Just starting out thanks to watching you on oak island and with Josh on expedition unknown. Was literally searching how to videos and found you, super stoked!!!! You are one of my inspirations to try metal detecting!
So cute 🥹
Was introduced to you through oak island. Loving your youtube videos. I was thinking instead of being completely informative maybe encourage more research and show highlights of what you really love. I know for me it can be a pulltab with a proper sunrise in a historic spot. What makes you smile will absolutely bring joy to all your subscribers. If you ever get a hankering to set the detector down for a moment and tune in your twin optical scanners i can introduce you to mining herkimer diamond quartz crystals in upstate ny.
Thank you for sharing your expansive knowledge of metal detecting Gary! Finding your channel is like finding gold. 👍
Well Gary It's been 2 years since I check back, Beach reading best tip, watch the people and you will know where to look. You can find treasure any day if you look for it, remember you get what you think about, the true answer to finding gold.
Engineers may know what they are doing, but they are terrible at explaining things.
Merry Christmas 🎄 Gary!
need more videos from you man!!
Gary, I really enjoy your enthusiasm for metal detecting, and I'm excited to discover your channel! Please continue to share your thoughts and experiences on TH-cam. It's a pleasure to learn from you!
Stumbled on this Video Garry while searching out if I should go smaller or larger for Beach detecting as finds most is surface or just below. Looks like I will stick with my 11" DD on my Manticore having upgraded from the Nox 800. Love your hunting on Oak Island :) Have you tried the CTX3030 in the Gold Fields and compared to the Manticore in Prospecting mode. Cheers
Went to my old man's over in Lincolnshire n a guy we used to go Taekwondo with came up in conversation n my Dad said he's a metal detectorist on telly n then it clicked. I'm a Oak Island watcher. Can't believe where you've ended up mate. I was only a young un n not sure you'll remember me but my owd man is Robin Beauchamp. Robin is a keen detectorist. 👍🏻
New to your channel. Thanks so much!
Saludos desde Mexico 🇲🇽
I was inspired to get myself a metal detecter because of course of oak island. (Your my favorite person from the Shoen by the way). And the Bruh for my birthday I got a pin pointer.
Great advice Gary! Your awesome attitude and positive spirit are inspiring! I have really enjoyed watching you on the Oak Island series ,and have always thought you were one of the things they got absolutely right in filming that show. Cheers!
You’re a good man, Gary. Was just messing.
Am i a flashlight “expert” because i own i a flashlight?
I bought a medal detector about two years ago and the first time I used it just walking along the River walk I found about five dollars in change most was on the top of the ground pretty much but ever since then I ha went found much but I tend to want to wear my steel toed boots when I happen to get a chance to go. Trying to get away from that, but my question is this, I’m pretty familiar with my detectors settings and sensitivity settings but I seem to get a lot of just randomness from it with a lot of beeps sometimes and I’ll dig down pretty deep to find nothing at the best signals. That gets irritating my detector I got off of Amazon for 120$ and it seems like it respond well and I think to need to work on reading my depths better and finding the targets I feel like I have a hard time with sometimes too. Still new to it for sure. I like your videos they’ve helped me out a lot since watching them. Thank you. My mother grew up on an island that’s said to have treasures on it so one day I’m going to go to that place an look around
Great times
Gary, I'm thinking of making a spoof video with clips from Oak Island where you find things and get excited and then show the guys and it turns out to be beaver tails, zincers, can slaw & lead sinkers! 😜😜 I've been watching since the beginning and still clinging to hope the Templars were there!! Last but not least, you've inspired me to become a Minelab customer owning a 600 Equinox when it came out and I just picked up a 3030 since I LOVE the grid and the GPS!
Fantastic Gary. I am 1 ov those people who follow others settings. But back to basics from now on mate thank you and keep up the good work
A ureecan? 😂
bet he's the one stealing all the treasure
got a good giggle out of me haha
Gary you truly are the reason I watch oak island and I wish I could meet you. You're a inspiration
Awesome than you so much fantastic advice using it today !
I’m a sucker for digging every signal and bagging the trash lol well my kids loved to dig my flags with another cheap detector. My son found targets with a cheap detector I didn’t find with my thousand dollars models
No shorts. Real uploads plz
How dareeeeee you delete all your videos! >:o
Excellent information Gary!
A buck is a buck!
Aww.. Little Cuda.
Great tips
Hello Gary love your work I always wonder what your top 10 finds of all time are hope you make it a video, thanks.
I just got one and I’m getting all kinds of beeps all over my yard Haven’t dug anything yet. Just listening to the tones
Hey Gary , I’m a big fan & love the oak island 👍. I have been metal detecting for 8 yrs now . I’m looking to step up in detector I’m looking at the Equinox 600 I’m a big coin shooter & like the relics as well , my question is your thoughts on the 600 ? Thanks Rick 988 .✌️
0:00 holy shamoly alright
Still looking for my top pocket find
There’s nothing like clean money!
LEAD CROSS YOU FOUND . Gary I had a thought about the lead cross you found on oak island. If that dimensions of the lead cross were scaled to Nolans Cross if it would give you a measurement and the hole at the top would be used for a pivot on a map to mark the location of the money pit. I dont think the head of the cross is misshapen because its crude. I think it could show orientation of the island. Especially if the arms of the cross are differnt lenghts. Your treasur location would be hidden in plane sight. I don't know any other way of contacting anyone doing research there but i figured Steve Guptill could overlay it on a map and try it out and see what shakes out. Thanks, Jared
Hi Gary grate video. I was out metal detecting other day and I found something but I don’t no what it is. Think it could be an old military pin or badge. Could I send you a picture of it
