Going over Golden Crack, hell yeah! /thumbup
How’d you get the 35s on there without the fender flares? I hate how they look and this seems like a lot better of a route
did you just do the front spacer, clearance kit and add a leaf in the back to fit the 35's
Stock axles? Which gearing did you go with? I have an ecodiesel on 37s, but considering moving to 40s.
I have a 90 yj,i went wit the 2.8l cummins and couldent be happier.
Love it I have a 2017 black zr2 with Duramax what lift and tire wheel setup are u running this thing looks like a beast
How's the diesel engine holding up??
Love my JLURD! On 37s on 3.5" and roofrack, getting 24 mpg average. Have banks system, adds a decent amount of power.
Love the sound of the diesel Jeep just climbing! Awesome!
This was great! The last 5 minutes I was getting nervous just watching haha!
Ecodiesel Jeep, SIMPLY THE BEST engine for wheeling.
Looks great with the 35's but not all that impressive after you watch what a completely stock ZR2 on the stock 31's can do th-cam.com/video/RUcPrz7OlzU/w-d-xo.html
Needs a list of mods
I will be back
I came for the ride, stayed for the music.
damm I am going to watch this again
Wicked truck! Do you have any aftermarket lift? Or just 35" tires?
I know stuff like approach angles would be slightly worst, but I hate that you can't get ZR2 with 6' box
Is there a reason why you didn't go with the Patagonias with your tons? I hear the new M/T 02's are supposed to be better on wet roads? I have a new set of 40's being delivered tomorrow. Also, did I read that right, you were running 3.73's in this video? My 2020 JLUR has 4.88's. I just bought it and the guy said it wheels much better with the 4.88's. I get 18.5-19 with cruise set at 70 turning just under 2k rpm
3.73 is the stock gears on the diesel. Wit the pats and beadlocks I was getting 21-22 mpg on average, 19 on road trips. Now with the heavier nittos, tons and 4.56 we are averaging 19-20 around town and 17 on road trips. I wasn’t a fan of how the pats were wearing but they were perfect for the stock axles. They weigh considerably less then the nittos. The nittos have been wearing much better and haven’t gotten any louder since I got them.
@@projectextractjlurdiesel2395 Gotcha. I found out that the Pats are very sensitive to air pressure on the highway. Too little air causes them to feather on the sides and makes them noisier.
How do you like your diesel?
Love the diesel. It’s a perfect road trip set up.
What skid plates do you have?
Nice rig!! love my 3.0 and 6.4.
The video would have been better without the silly music. I wanna hear that diesel!
Yeah this is the 3rd video we’ve ever uploaded. Didn’t realize how annoying the music was until I started watching other videos. Got to have something playing in some parts but the next one we make will barely have any music.
It’s an awesome video though. Nice wheeling!
@@silverstar1865 thanks
Stock gear or re-gear?
Stock.
I wish my buddies could spot as well as she does.
Lol she’s gotten pretty good at it.
You Guys are the Best!
Details on your build would be great. I have a 2021 Wrangler Rubicon Ecodiesel as well, on 37” but considering 40”.
Now it’s on fusion 4x4 60s front and rear. Running nitto 40s on kmc beadlocks. In this video it was on the stock 44s and milestar 40s. Was running rcvs up front. Still on the RK 3.5.
@@projectextractjlurdiesel2395 thanks. Do you feel an axle gear upgrade is needed with 40” tires on an Ecodiesel?
@@jsa310 if your running lighter tires like milestars I would say definitely not. The 3.0 can handle it and you keep a bigger ring gear and pinion. I’m on 4.56 now with the tons and it’s almost too much even with all the extra weight.
Nice ride, Can you tell me what axle width you went with as well as wheel size and backspacing? Thanks.
72” with 3.5 backspacing. 17x9 KMC Machetes. Thanks man.
Gear ratio ?
4.56 is perfect with the diesel.
At the 10:00 minute mark you crossed that crack perfectly. Outstanding!
Thank you. Had some really solid spotters.
That was awesome. Truck did great. I am building out Colorado now. Did you change gearing and differentials with 35” tires?
No it had stock gears in it.
Lift specs, please? Did you re-gear to 4:10 or 4:56? I was going to stick with 31”s / 33”s…. Now I need 35”s. lol
This truck was completely stock other then the leveling kit and fender cuts.
@@projectextractjlurdiesel2395 - Thanks for responding! I’m on 33x12.50 17 Patagonias now. I’m going to re-gear and go up to 35’s as soon as they’re worn out. Haha
@@robertwilkinson2303 make it happen.
@@projectextractjlurdiesel2395 - She’s got F & R Chassis Unlimited bumpers, oem bed mount spare tire rack, Sasquatch oem switch duel aux light trigger mod, 589 Command Center with sPod, 589 shock skids & skid plate support… Chevy Performance high angle UCAs in a box, waiting on the Peak DSSV level coil kit Smittybuilt 10k winch, Factor 55 SuperHook…. & I’m just outside of Philadelphia, with no place decent to wheel less than 2 hours away. 😂
what gear ratio ? 5.13 ?
It has 4.56 now with the 1 tons. It was stock with 3.73 in this video.
@@projectextractjlurdiesel2395 stock... thats amazing
ZR2 🇺🇸👍🏻
I'm planning on getting a jeep wrangler unlimited Rubicon and im planning go off road alot and go to all the jeep trails are out there and going to jeep meets and events much has I can and so all that being said my jeep going to be my daily driver has well so witch one u Recommend ecodiesel or the 3.6 v6 ?
Man, I would definitely go with the diesel. It has all the torque of the hemi, but with better mileage. This jeep was daily driven on 40s for a while.
What wheels are on this truck? They look a lot like the Methods I want to get however Method doesn’t make them for the Colorado bolt pattern. Thanks!
not sure if you're still responding to questions but did you research for 35s? what did you do to get to 35s?
I cut, a lot. It was definitely worth it. Now you can get the bison kit to clear 35s.
Nice spotter
What steering setup was used at this point in the build?
I think it had the red neck ram at this point. I’m still using the ram, it’s been great.
a little to the party but getting my black Duramax ZR2 delivered this week. Guys like you get me pumped, thans for the content brother. This will be my first car ever where i didnt settle. On color, anything...
I bet your loving it.
How did you get the Artec inner fenders for the diesel? They don’t make them yet, or did you mod gasser ones?
I modded the gas ones. Wasn’t that hard but they are a pain to get on and off when needed.
Very nice Jeep. I currently have a TJ and am considering upgrading to either the eco diesel or the 392. Primarily for overlanding, but I like to push things in the rocks also. I don’t see very many ecodiesels out there.
You really couldn’t loose with either choice. One thing I love about the 3.0 is how I’m running tons and 40s and it gets around 18-19 mpg. The diesel pulls hard even with the mods. Hemi would be badass though.
Ecodiesel all the way, if wheeling is your intention. Forget the street engine 392.
I just picked up a 22 bison a couple weeks ago. Love it so far, did a muffler change, intake, and trifecta tune so far. Leveling kit, peak performance tie rod sleeves, and trim kit is in the mail then the 33s will be mounted thats sitting in the garage. THEN its trail time
Why wait? It's capable out the box. Plus you will be able to see how the mods benefited ur truck vs stock.
be happy that US can have JK because in my country, It can cost 2 to 3 times
I have the same Jeep and axles the turning sucks are you have the same problem?
Pm me on my instagram @projectextract. I added a 8in ram and that brought me back to stock.
@@projectextractjlurdiesel2395 sorry I don't have IG. i have face book. I know I am lame. Did you have to cut the knuckle stops? my fear is i get to much turn and damage u joints on the axle shafts. I to have the psc xd big bore kit but has a the cylinder for a 44 axle.
@@nicholasdorendorf7491 Colton William on Facebook. Yeah I had to trim a lot off the stops on mine. You set your ram length, then trim the stops to they match up with the throw of the shaft. They need to be in sync or else the ram will damage other components
@@projectextractjlurdiesel2395 copy that I ordered the 8” ram it should be here on Thursday. Thank you for the help
Kingpin flaw = turning
do you hit the low hanging shocks often
Only a couple of times.
best zr2 crawling video out there. this should be a chevy commercial
you and your ZR2 so awesome!!
What’s better , gas or Diesel ? For longer lasting..
Used to be any easy answer with diesels but now with all the emissions they can have issues later on. The engine is solid, but I’d expect to replace emission parts after 100k.
what bumpers are you running?
Relentless fab.
