Hi, I enjoy your videos, but the music is distracting!
It's really hard to hear you over that music.
Yep. I have seen the ball. It goes towards Bacon’s Castle
Great video!
Please turn off the music
Do Cherokee Village ,Arkansas next...
Hope all is well, you haven’t made a video in a long time. My wife and myself met you and Butch at the “I ride tiny House adventures “ rendezvous. 2 years ago in Florida
Rainbow Cafe, and Tommy's Pizza. Got to go to both and more home grown places to eat.
Love the fact they have a thrift store benefiting animal rescue! I will be moving up that way and that is where I will donate stuff (and probably buy even more stuff).
Cool 😎
Urban forge use to be the best pizza place ever
Mi puebleto the old Mexican restaurant near court square is the best restaurant in mountain view I know because I live here
Another great video!
Thank you so much. We took a bit of a break but we have started filming again and hope to put out more video's. Thank you.
Do you have any advice on finding a farm that sells raw milk in my area….? Great video 👍🏼
Very little crime there because few of the 12.6% live there.
I used to live in mountain view and I still have family that live there. I also have family that live in drasco. This is a very good area in Arkansas for hunting and fishing, hiking and camping. Some of my family members play music there at the mountain view square
Thank you. It is a great little spot to escape to. Awesome music.
I have never had fresh milk…looks so good! Can I do this with store bought milk? Also, you don’t hold it at pressure for a certain amount of time? Just bring it to pressure and it’s done?
Hi Betty, I am so glad you watched our video. First you most certainly can can store bought milk. I warn you that many folks do not approve of canning milk but you will find many that do can milk. You can generally count on it to last 6, 12, 18, or longer if you store it in a cool dark room or closet. You do not want the temperature to fluctuate to vaste. I have opened milk I have canned and it tends to have just a wee bit of sweet flavor. I actually keep a jar of canned milk in the fridge just in case I run out of fresh milk. If you are canning your milk you want to make sure you have fresh milk either raw milk or store bought. Sterilize your jars and allow them to cool down before you add the milk. Start with your canner cold and water in canner cold. After you place the jars in the canner and seal turn the heat on. Once the pressure tops the jiggler you want the steam to come out for ten minutes, then cap. You let the pressure build to 10 psi then shut down. Let cool. Once you have taken the top off the canner let jars sit for about 5 minutes then remove. Let sit for 24 hours before you remove the rings. Now regarding the cows milk. We love it. The awesome folks we get out milk from have a beautiful Jersey. Since store bought milk is getting so expensive the store bought where we live cost about the same as the fresh cow's milk. Not only do we get the milk but we skim the cream and get half or 3/4 pound of fresh butter. We also make cheese with the mil and actually you can use store bought milk to make cheese but I don't think most people realize that. Good luck and I hope you give it a try. Thanks for watching and stay safe.
With respect, an absolute hell hole, not that there's anything wrong with that
The old Ford building you were talking about sold cars and right after they left my dad used to own it. He had an Auto body repair shop called Judge's Body Shop there. My mom also owned a Flea Market at the same time out of the front of the building. Great memories. Born and raised in Mtn. View Arkansas.
I believe most everyone that grew up in Mountain View has wonderful memories. My grand parents were married at the Dew Drop Inn many years ago and all the family still have fond memories. Thank you for your comment. Love it.
I grew up in Mtn. View in the seventies.
Totally awesome place to grow up in the 70's and it is still not bad.
I have never seen this done, how do you store it once it’s canned?
Sandy it is so awesome. It is not recommended by Bell but people have been doing this for years. The milk becomes shelf stable. I keep one quart jar in the fridg so if we run out of milk we will have cold milk. It is great.
Mozzarella is a gateway cheese… just sayin…😂😂😂
I am so looking forward to my travels. Thanks for watching.
I didn't see duct tape and a rag... Just kidding 😁! Great video, can't wait for more!
Awesome. So glad y’all checked us out. We totally LOVE the milk. Rabbits coming up. What a great couple and we so enjoyed meeting y’all. Thanks for subscribing.
Some animal's lives are sacred and some animal's lives don't matter. I'm confused who is sacred and who is expendable.
I run a feral cat rescue in my house and the people here in Arkansas are about 60 years behind times. People kill for the thrill, but those aren't really hunters. Hunters and people who are feeding their family do not waste any thing.
All life matters. When I raised my own livestock they were pampered and had great lives. When it came time to butcher I put them down while they were eating and they never saw it coming. All lives should be respected and treated with dignity
Oh cool!!! I wish I was back in Mountain View!!! For donuts!!!!
the donuts were pretty good but you need to get there early for the best. Safe travels.
I know, the donut was pretty good. I still have to try more of them. lol
Beautiful river
It is an awesome river. It would be great for y'all to visit. This area is a gr3eat place to see and we could hit the river with hopes that it will be a bit higher but it was still nice. I did have to get out and drag my yak. I went river right and everyone else went river left. Y'all know me I have to blaze my own trail.
You guys look great!
Y'all look awesome. I hate that we miss the last gathering but oh my goodness y'all had an amazing group. Travel safe.
That was me and a buddy on the bikes. It was pretty cool to see.
Hi Joseph. We are so glad you checked out the video. We both enjoyed our interaction while trying to get out and off the gravel road. I think the tr4affic jam made the experience more memorable. I only hope that someone has done something about the problem. Cold you imagine living in that house and having to deal with that all the time. Y'all stay safe.
Mountain View is a great little town for an Overnight get way. we go to the area for Motorcycling and like to come to the court square in the evening for the music on the square. it is like a step back into time.
Hi MemphisMike901, Mountain View is such a nice small town and our countryside is great for all type of activities. Have you been during the Motorcycling even. Everyone has a great time. Thanks for watching.😃
No explanation needed ! The World changes each and every day .
So true, has changed form the beginning of time, thank you for watch and for your comments.
What do y'all use it for now? I always loved her canning kitchen.
To be honest we have left it as is. Now we just need to keep it maintained
Repairs are such a pain. Good luck.
Best to build from scratch but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
Better than flooding?
Hi Nancy, I don't know if it is better or not. If it was so low I would agree but so much commerce goes on the river and it is at a complete stop. I don't think most people realize just how much the river is used. Between the farmers and steel mills and so many other products are transported by the river. Devastation comes in many forms. Thank you for watching and commenting. Travel safe.🤩
Wow! Amazing, fascinating.... 🙏🏽
Thank you, it was very unique.🙂
Holy smokes! Could you imagine living in that area?? Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for you view and comment. There was a house about mid way down the gravel road and it was totally blocked in. Awesome journey and hopefully the drought will end soon and the Might Mississippi will be rolling again.
They are so cute
They are twins and are adorable. This was our first overnight with them and it couldn't have gone better.💞
What we saw on I ride tiny house was Butch loves Nancy, Nancy loves Butch! We want that interaction between such a fun loving couple. Butch needs to pipe up when Nancy forgets to name the product, and NANCY Needs to argue with him as they do in real life. Don t be so correct. We need some Silly in this crazy world. You enjoy workings together just to change your own world.
Oh that porch !!!! Thanks for sharing your travels !!!
Kathy thank you. We fell in love with the lodge. It is truly an amazing place and the location is just about perfect. I fell in love with the swings. Thank you for your comment.
Awesome place !!;
This is so cool!
Thank you Cindy. It is going to be ax experience. Not sure what is the hardest, breaking the pallets down or the build. We have a few days under our belt and I was very sick and I am trying to get use to being out of bed. Butch is a trooper and working so hard. Hope you enjoy. Stay safe.
Hmmmm
Hi Wayne, hope you stay with us during the build.
Thanks you for your video. I am looking at Mountain View to move for retirement. This is so helpful.
Hi Sandra, thank you for watching and for your comment. Mountain View is a wonderful place to move. It is a much more laid back area and wonderful music, mountains, and creeks and rivers. We plan to do more videos on the area and hope you have subscribed to our channel. We will also be doing videos for some of the unique mountain towns. Travel safe.
Mountain View is a great place so is batesville
Hi Sandramillner4160. So glad you enjoyed and Mountain View is looking forward to your arrival. Awesome that this helped.
Excellent tips for being prepared. I believe I have most of them. Having a safe place for important documents may be a problem in case of tornado, flood, fire. I wonder what you and your viewers would think of putting your fireproof container with these important papers in the trunk of your car. Even damaged, the trunk could be accessed. Also, my daughter bought a little battery powered chain saw that operates in your hand. We cut so many branches and trees up to 4 inches with this little darling one weekend. I think we wore it out. There are several advertised and we will replace the one which is giving us a problem. This is a great idea for your emergency back pack for camping. Another item that was mentioned in a video I saw was Children's luminary sticks that are frequently used when night time partying. (A substitute for emergency flash light) . Good video.
My dad used to say, "a man without tools is just an animal."
Only from you dear heart
Love your wall in the background. I know off topic, lol
I have to say your a bit off topic anyway. Lol.
Saw a one room school house. It was preserved-ish. At one time ke I t in decent shape, now just storage room. Still amazing to see.
Tools such as hand tools. Tree may fall, or might need to fix things that broke, window, door, shelves, car. Major issues might need to wait but boarding up window or door can't wait.
Thank you, I realized after the fact that I left many things off our tool list. We have such a great deal of tools but I need to back up and go for the basic and move forward. I am going to do a more in depth look at what one needs to more than survive our world. I realized each to his own and city dwellers will need or have less than those of us that live in the country. Stay prepping, stay safe, and watch your back.
New Gere to your channel, and preparing. I have I think food for couple months, but need water purification and filtering. One idea is important papers. Ideas like marriage lic., pictures of family, titles to house/property, or car, insurance ppw. My wife (passed 13 yrs) didn't find such important, her reasons 'we know where we live and each other, we don't need to prove it. Typical man, I couldn't convince her the earth was round. Such things need addressing. Looking forward to watching more.
Hi and welcome. Thank you for watching and I hope that you will get some important info. We have only recently realized the importance of preparing. It is not fair that we wait for someone or the government to be there from day one. Not gonna happen. So sorry for your loss, that is very difficult. You are so right about gathering important papers and I realize we have not done that so I thank you. Stay safe and watch your back.
Hi Nancy. Your cousin Cindy here. I'm glad you are preparing. It's been an interest of mine for about 20 years. Lots of gardening and canning goes on over here. I'm always learning about alternatives to heating and cooking. I even have a solar oven! I started a TH-cam just for Gaye so she could watch my garden grow this year. She has shared it with a few others. If you are interested, it's just under my name.
Hi Cuz, so glad you are watching our antics. I am heading over to check out your garden. You will have to share all your wise words of wisdom because we sure need all the help we can get. Stay safe
@@nancyivey8966 not sure about words of wisdom, but I'll try to answer any questions or point you in the right direction!
@@cindybaugh3384 You have been doing this for a bit for I know you have more wisdom than we do. Loved the worm and the chicken. We are building a chicken tractor and have to start building on it soon. Stay safe
Super cute trailer! You mention your shower with hot water in the video. What is your setup like?
