This is friendly competition (no one is going to get shot/beat up over this obviously) between two of the biggest lyrical rappers, a closer version of the “control” verse aftermath. Cole claiming he’s choosing love is a blatant cop out, and insanely cowardly since he constantly claims to be one of the GOATS in lyrical ability, always saying he’ll kill others with his pen. In the first person shooter verse (ya know, the one where he CHOSE to aim shots and Kendrick) he literally raps about him and his crew killing people multiple times and how he’s the GOAT with the golden pen.

@@glassboxfish I know but forget the rap lyrics amd bars and more. He came out saying that's not who wants to be. To him it felt ugly to him it felt violent. I was just as upset too but I sit back and ask myself what does cole want. Cole wants peace and there's nothing wrong with that. I can't argue against peace. But what I will say is S.O.B he better not flip flop now. You can't say all that and go back on it. I can understand going against the bars cuz that's the game. But if he goes back on a formal apology. Than he's truly lost me. And as a fan I gotta remind myself Cole did this for him. Clearly he needed this.
