I've been hosting local multiplayer games for awhile for kind of random crowds, including some really convoluted setups and weird niche games, so I thought I should probably get around to recording video of some of the games especially because in some cases video of niche multiplayer stuff can be kind of hard to come by.
I don't really have the drive to edit the videos, so it's just gonna be raw gameplay for now. I'm also often playing with pretty casual crowds these days so the gameplay itself may be a bit rough, lol.
As well, I'm making my own 32-player local (?!) multiplayer Mario Party-like video game called "Party 32" that I may upload footage of time to time.

I'm a fan of this game, I think it's a neat multiplayer - I played as Player 1 in this video - hard to teach people the feel of the controls in this though 😅

Not too many long rallies, but this game has an impressively similar feel to the console versions

We tried out most of the modes and maps I think except the Bumper Arena? That race was a bit of a struggle lol. It took us a bit to figure out in the first match you're trying to get _rid_ of the sparkles.

Most people were pretty novice at Worms so there's a lot of kind of funny flubs, not many bold plays lol. The ending is kind of funny.
8-Player Nintendo World Championships NES Edition (Uncommentated)

People weren't kidding, this was actually a great party game. Even when it's a bit painful it's still fun to cheer people on and you can always bow out. Weirdly, we found playing with the wireless NES controller felt worse than with a Pro Controller. I still think I did pretty well here though lol, I swapped positions between Player 1, 8, then 4.
Wii Fit U Multiplayer (Uncommentated)

Did you know Wii Fit U had multiplayer?? Now you do!! It's just turn-based high score challenges but that's actually kind of fun. Pretty sure Wii Fit Plus on the original Wii has a similar mode.

I looove this game. Was excited to actually play a full 4-player match lol - I gave everyone a quick crash course before the video so they had some prep but it wasn't exactly fair lol, I played the grey Empire team. But I was pretty sloppy and it didn't go exactly as planned 🫠

Most people were pretty noob-ish at this but eventually we persevered - I only played a bit of it but I did carry the final boss attempt lol

Another weird niche PlayStation 3 game that was neat to play with 7 people - I forgot there was a whole bunch of modes though that I'd have to unlock in solo mode? Sometimes I'd put the effort in for stuff like that but I assume I probably got a bit bored trying to play this game all by myself 😅

This is a pretty random obscure game on the PS3 - one of the few 7 player games on there. It's crazy chaotic but tbh I kind of enjoyed it, the UI is jank but the actual gameplay feels decent for what it is.

Nintendo Switch Sports LAN Play (Uncommentated)

This setup can actually go up to 8 players, 2 per Switch, but unfortunately I only managed 3 individuals this time. Nintendo Switch Sports is one of the few Switch games that supports wired offline LAN multiplayer - and is also the only (?) one I know of that doesn't also support Local Wireless. That's because the Soccer game mode uniquely supports 2 Joy-Cons per player, to play 8 player Soccer...
