A coach that doesn't draft or prioritize OL means that he's gonna get injured. Then he's gonna get labeled. When the label lands he's done. So...get a fatty contract while you can command it and the market assures it or hope that the coach and management break from character and protect you for a long career. Evidence supports going for the big money and forcing them to protect the investment or suffer as a team long term. Unless the Niners are going to only have QBs on rookie contracts forever.

Problem with the idea of taking less, there's no guarantee the teams good next year. If hes smart he will take 50 million a year for 5, 150-200 guaranteed. Leave some fat on the bone but takes care of himself no matter what the team does. If the teams bad and he gets decent stats he will Still get a baker deal from someone else after this deal assuming 49rs move on. 49ers have to grow up and do the responsible thing, get rid of aging talent and bring in rookies. Spot on with this video. I used to think Jimmy was holding this team back but it's increasingly more evident that it is Kyle.

Kyle is at fault in this game. He could have ran the ball a little more to help Brock, instead of happy passing all game. We’re suppose to be a run the ball team, if it doesn’t matter which receiver is in or out then the same should be for the OLine. A lot of teams we play don’t get much running the ball but they stick to it and that helps the qb.

Brock has not had a good year this year, but he has the worst defense, worst offensive line, and the least amount of offensive weapons of his 3 years in the league. It's the job of the General Manager, Scouts and head coach to give him the kind of players he needs. This year (his worst so far) Brock has played one less game than all of the QBs ahead of him on the total yards chart. If adjusting for one less game he would be rated as the 5th highest quarterback this season in total yards. He's 3rd in yards per pass attempt behind Lamar & Goff. He's 7th in QBR but 14th in passer rating, which reflects his issue with interceptions this year. The analysts said that many of his interceptions were directly affected by his receiving core not getting separation in their routes. I pulled up the statistics of Brock and Josh Allen for the first 3 years of their careers. Many of the stats (yardage, yds per pass, etc) are practically the same, but Brock has a 20 pt higher QBR and passer rating and 3 less touchdowns but also 4 less interceptions. So Brock's production is similar to Josh's first 3 years, and Brock has a much better QBR/passing rating. Finally, Brock has had quite a few comebacks in the 2nd half of his games through the years. He and the team have currently had a bad stretch though the back half of this season. Those bad games don't wipe out all of his good games.

I don’t agree with firing K Shan. You do that and guaranteed it sets back this team for the next five seasons or more. I see it like this, Lynch and Shanahan took over arguably the worst roster in the league and had them in the Super Bowl in their third year at the helm. Imo Shanahan has earned the equity to at least get another season and see what he can do to fix this team. If he cant then yes I think it’s fair to say Niners might need to move on.
