Our lab, Mango, does not howl. Ever. Unless Hozier's song "Like Real People Do" comes on. Then she loves to sing along. Crazy.

Why bother using a green bin?

My garbage got picked up today, and my green bin kitchen waste was dumped into the back of the garbage truck along with the garbage bags. Why bother composting?
Bike stolen from beside our house

My daughter's boyfriend's bike was stolen from beside our house while he was visiting. Strange thing is that the thief left his own crappy bike behind as a replacement. What a nice guy.
2 men drowning - Cancun Spring Break 2015
มุมมอง 1.9M9 ปีที่แล้ว
Captured 2 men screaming for help after being caught in the undertow in the surf at the beach in Cancun, March 3, 2015. The 2nd guy was in the biggest trouble, barely hanging on and going underwater several times. He appeared to be rescued just in time. Both men ended up being OK. 2nd guy was given oxygen by the lifeguards when he reached shore, and paramedics arrived shortly thereafter. Scary ...
Daughter's first time driving standard

My younger daughter just got her learner's permit. This is her first time driving, never mind her first time driving my Mustang with manual transmission. Good thing we were in an empty parking lot.
Garbage and Yard Waste in the same truck

Should this be happening? I thought household garbage was supposed to be collected and processed separately from yard waste.
Why You Should Not Use Dr. Green Services Lawncare
มุมมอง 19K10 ปีที่แล้ว
Dr. Green Services of Toronto, ON were pretty good about 10 years ago when I first started using them, but they have gone downhill since then. Even though I use their most expensive "Very Best" package, over the past couple of years I've had ongoing issues with weeds and crabgrass, and poor application of top dressing and overseeding that was recommended to correct the problem. And now I think ...
Daughter parking in driveway for first time
มุมมอง 1.3K13 ปีที่แล้ว
My 16-year old daughter just started learning how to drive... on a standard transmission. After a total of about 5 hours of training, here his her first attempt at parking in our driveway. Almost took out our garage door at the end.
Heroic from all the rescuers
I can see 3 😮
Yea. But why are you in the water
Imagine being in this situation and a shark pulls up to you
The 3rd person is thire aswell after second but they didn’t notice he most drown ca no one saw him
For those who dont know if you're ever in this situation and are exhausted just like the second guy was. Lay on your back! As long as their is air in your lungs, you will float! You also lose a significant lesser amount of energy.
The second one was already drowning, reflectory reactions while drowning
I nearly died 14 septembre 2024 yesterday in one of these It is so strong and i am a good swimmer and young 19 years old . There was no lifeguards ... i made it out after 35 min or more of swimming cant believe iam alive and writing and googling the phenomen now !!! The beach seemed impossible to reach . I swam untill all my body was aching . It was a miracle taht i could swim longer and reached the beach finally
You wasted all your energy fighting the rip If you had swam out of it, you could have rested and returned with ease Most people drown due to panic
no one appears to drown unfortunately
misleading title
Heroes. The second gentleman had seconds left. Often they panic and clutch at the helper but he didn’t, he was done. Thank goodness there were people willing to help nearby.
Look at the offshore rip
Rip curent = swim parallel to the beach
Gotta float and go with the rip. Glide acrossed w ith the current and catch some waves in down the line. Sounds impossible but it's the only answer without help
Swim parallel to the beach until out of the rip. People try to swim straight into it.
Why's there no great whites
Lay on your back like a star you can float
have been in 2 rips, though they were mild. each time, the sidestroke (also called scissor kick) was the best most relaxing way to conserve my energy and swim sideways to shore until i caught waves to get back in. as others have said, 1st don't panic, realize you're in a rip and it's part of nature and how water flows back out. just conserve your energy, choose a lazy swim, take your time, and swim sideways or at a slight angle toward shore until you can tell you're getting closer to shore (meaning you're out of the rip), then you can swim directly back in.
I guess the author of Yu-Gi-Oh! died in a similar situation. How lonely and depressing it is to die in the sea! The sea is often referred to as the mother of all creatures, however, its embrace can kill us so easily at the same time.
This is scary. I'm wondering if there's any way to get to the shore if you are on your own in this situation. Does it work there to swim sideways until you get out of the rip tide and then swim to the shore?
Scary shit
The not so pretty side of the tropics
😮
Until you've been in this situation you will never understand how strong that water is. Never underestimate mother nature.
God bless these men. That's true bravery . These men deserve praise.
I lived by the ocean....those riptides are killers.
It’s obviously easier said than done and differs on tide and wave strength but float on your back and try to remain calm.
Amazing 👏 🙏
Good lord, that was tense
People give stupid advice like "go with it just relax" but these are people thinking they are genuinely gona die and you thinking they going to make a calculated decision in that moment? There's better advice like NEVER go into the ocean without flotation unless you are a confident and fit ocean swimmer and not just in a swimming pool
Wow, absolutely stunning. The bravery of the first swimmer leaving his float with one man, then going after a man who seemed finished was simply incredible. The humanity of the two others getting out there to aid was just beautiful. What a team, the top Cancun resorts wouldn't need Resumes to hire these Heros.
I grew up in the water, almost drowned once surfing. The most important thing to understand is DON’T PANIC! Relax and eventually you’ll figure it out or help will come. The one time I almost drowned surfing was because I panicked.
If this ever happens to me , being saved by someone, each year, I'll send him a portion of my salary till the day i die. That's how you can thanks someone who saved you
You definitely have psychopathic tendencies, if not full blown psychopathy, to stand there and video record what you must have believed were 2 men about to die a horrific death.
WoW….That was pretty intense. Incredible.
Riptide and or/sandbanks very scary!
How can the rescuers make it through the water swimming but the others can't and we're drowning? Was it that they couldn't swim and got caught in deep water?
The most clutch rescue on the Internet.

Firstly, do not panic and keep calm. Swim parallel to the shoreline or just let the rip take you further out. Once you are out of the rip, swim back in slowly but surely. I mean at walking pace. If you run out of energy, you'll drown. Once you can touch the samd with your feet, start swimming hard. Dive down and push with your feet if you need to. When I used to surf in NZ, its amazing how many people I saved. Stay safe out there!
I live in New England right in the Atlantic. Knee deep is to deep don’t matter if your 400 pounds.
All thst sand movi g is a huge rip current, that guy was lucky
It's so sad when you know how simple it is to avoid drowning when getting dragged out by a rip tide. (As long as you know the basics to swimming, which most people who decides to bath at the coean knows) Relax, let the ocean take you out a bit, check for landmarks to see which direction you're floating, and swim inwards when you're in calmer waters.
Only God can give the ability ,,,
Sideways
what no jetski ?
It seems like da waves loves the lifeguards🥹
Swim with the current and to the side at the same time and eventually it will stop pulling you out to sea and you will be able to swim to shore
No business being in the ocean if you can't swim
They most likely know how to swim, what they probably lacks is the knowledge of rip tides. Rip tides have drowned professional athlestes and trained swimmers. Because of one reason, they're doing the oppisite of what you're supposed to do. Go into TH-cam serach bar and search for rip tide, it's a lot of videos explain what this deadly current is and how to do if getting sucked out by one.
Idiot yanks after four Budweisers.😅
It must be a bad day having strong rip-currents. That's what it looks like to me.
