Up front you appear to care but deep down you enjoy insulting Calistoga Police Department. ~their quality of officers will degrade our citizens’ confidence in us~. Really, St Helena has two officers on the Brady List. Calistoga has none. Don’t know what the Brady List is? Maybe you should. You talk about the quality of candidate you attract and how that affects who you hire. To my knowledge not one of the current Calistoga police officers has worked for any other department and failed and had to come to Calistoga because of a relaxed standard. There is no relaxed standard in Calistoga. . How does that stack up against Saint Helena police officers? One of the former Calistoga officers now works for St Helena and he is a very good officer, who i worked with for years. For the record I have absolutely nothing but respect for all of the St. Helena police officers. Every one of them does their job every day the best way they know how. This is a comment directed at the St. Helena city Council and the prevailing attitude that they enjoy slamming the city of Calistoga. It has been that way my entire life and quite frankly those of us that lived up valley are sick of it.
