We are two retired couples that live in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Sandra, Sharon, Rob, and Terry.
Sandra and Terry live in downtown Gatlinburg most of the year and Panama City Beach in winters.
Sharon and Rob live on the east side of Gatlinburg most of the year and enjoy the #VanLife part-time
Every year the four of us find ourselves on some adventure to the desert or the west coast or just about anywhere we can imagine.
All that to say, “We eat out a lot!” So we’re always asking, what’s a good place to eat? This vlog space is about our humble opinions and experiences at the places we eat.
Also expect to meet our regular accomplices Sammy, Debbie, Gwen, Mary, Cindy, Lenny and a whole bunch of others you’ll meet along the way.
Bennetts Pit Bar-B-Que * Gatlinburg *
Bennetts is a go-to BBQ joint for many people who visit Gatlinburg. It's one of the Johnson Family restaurants. The food is consistently good and mid-range price for a tourist town.

The Sun Diner is located on the Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg on the street level of Jason Aldeans. The food was good for some of us and not so good for the others. The atmosphere is modern diner deco meets 50s diner. A lot of old country music playing with accompanying video on numerous displays. Price is midrange for a tourist town.

This is a cool restaurant located inside the original Bass Pro store in Springfield Missouri. The food was all good and service was good. The price was on the high end for the area but not really unreasonable.

The Farmhouse Restaurant is a home cooking style restaurant located in downtown Branson. Excellent food and great service. There's limited seating so plan on a wait during busy times. We waited about 20 minutes to get a seat.

This is a short review of Pilonis in Terre Haute. My cousins Gloria and Tina and Tina's husband John join us. If you are just passing through and looking for really good Italian food this is a solid option! I had the rack of lamb and it was phenomenal!

It’s actually pretty good for fast pickup pizza. This one though really really needed more sauce.

Actually you can. Many times our initial impression of a food item is that it’s pretty good. But then as you eat more of it you find that it just isn’t as good as when you first tasted it. We’ve been discussing how to handle this situation. She explained at the end why she changed her overall impression based on how tough the biscuit was. Thanks for your comment we appreciate the feedback.
Capt Jack's isn't really that good. Been a couple times and never taste fresh

She had her filet butterflied. Definitely pricey, but it’s a tourist town so pricey is the norm.
We celebrated my husband's 80th birthday at the Lamberts in Foley, AL. Sooooo good! Too much food, but it was all delicious .

I’m not sure, but their website says they’ve been there since 1981.
Every time we went to the beach when my children were small this is where we would go. They loved it when server would throw their rolls.
We haven’t been to the one at Foley Alabama. It’s pretty good?
We have not been in years. When we did go it was good southern comfort food.

It was very good.
My niece & her husband owns that. They put their heart & soul into it and when purchasing it the previous owner had the same crew like forever & they all decided to stay. It's rare you find a restaurant on the beach with team members that has been there over 10 - 15 yrs. It just had electrical fire day b4 4th and they are working hard to get it back going!! They also own CoCo Locos they have the pineapple drinks. Great review!!!
It’s a great place and we hope they get up and running very quick. We live right down the street in the winter.

I somewhat agree with you. We still end up eating there when they re-open in February. I think the Wharf might be the same price. I really can’t think of any other AYCE crab places in the area.
The chicken pot pie is enormous! Everything looks delicious! This is my kind of cooking! Yum! Please don't bounce a roll off my forehead! 🤣 Thank you for bringing us along!

Was in the town years ago on the way to Milwaukee to see family.At the motel they told my dad about this place.Unfortunately we couldn't get in, it was packed.So we went to I think it was Ponderosa Steakhouse which was really good.This was back in the 1980s.

Don’t pay attention to the haters. Yes it’s very expensive and a special treat for most people. We don’t eat there very often and sometimes just stop by and get the salad bar.

We love Ruby Tuesday’s salad bar. We’ll go often after donating blood and get steak and salad with lots of spinach to start replenishing our iron.
