Really well done. Definitely getting Ableton (been considering Bitwig too) soon.. EP7 is one of my fave Æ records btw. Saw them play live two weeks ago, that was dope.
I’ve literally been searching for a tutorial of this exact nature for months now. Thank you so much for this
You’ve shown me what Com Truise does to get all his cool glitchy textures!! I love this!
Here from Ned Rush Patreon chat, excellent stuff!
need that chiastic drum rack
sick one man
laughing at 15:35
yeah definitely would like to see a vid on micro tuning
Just subbed loving this 🤙
Best Autechre tutorial on TH-cam because it actually sounds like music haha
Cheers mate! Really appreciate it haha
this video is the reason why internet exists. thank you so fucking much
Haha no worries! Glad you enjoyed!
sounds nice
Thank you 😊
Thanks for the inspiration! Where did you get the graphics/animation in the first minute of your video? I find it awesome!
I think I just typed on TH-cam 'dancing alien' and then chucked it through a bunch of Zwobot modules (max4live visual pack, I highly recommend getting it)
Favorite drum machine is Soma Pulsar-23
Oooh nice ❤️
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND you make break chops better than any tutorial i've seen before. You are something else my dude loving this content
He's an amazing drummer too ! Very imaginative, knowledgeable and creative with rhythm.
Thank you! Thats a hell of a compliment!
Your videos are the absolute shit. Your voice and personality are great too, I love how you laugh at your ideas. You need to blow up, keep these vids coming!
Haha thank you man! Really appreciate that
Curious to see your next videos... I'm really digging them. I like the way you teach.
Thank you!
im inlove with you THANK YOU SO MUCH
Haha thanks! No worries. I'm glad you enjoyed!
Thanks for the tutorial!
No worries man!
I’d love to see u try out renoise
I definitely will get around to it. I think I might prefer it to Ableton when it comes to chopping breaks...tough choice though
Awesome, thanks, always been curious how to actually do it since hearing it from Igorrr and Venetian Snares
No worries. Glad you enjoyed it
Just discovered the channel. It's like Ned Rush without the annoying snobby personality. Cheers!
Damn! I mean, I appreciate that you enjoy my channel but I don't think Ned Rush has a snobby personality to be honest...think he's funny whilst informative!
Cmon man. Ned's cool. Accept people as they are. It's not like he's a politician.
If it weren’t for the shoutout Ned gave, I wouldn’t even know about this channel.
LOL, doesn't seem snobby to me at all. He's amusing to listen to. Funny guy.
Sweet Thanks!!🎛🦾🔊
No worries man! Thanks for the comment!
Gordon Bennett mate. ❤ Good luck with the move. Wales is class.
Haha thanks man! I'm originally from Swansea but I've been living in Brighton for the last few years...hell of a difference in many ways haha
does anyone here know how aphex does very, very many variations on the Syro album? I've been scratch my head for a long time and I can't figure out if it's all done manually or with the help of all sorts of generators.
I have a video going over sequencing in the style of Syro if that helps. Let me know if I can help with that any more!
@@eptiar Speaking of syro, will you be making a video about microtuning? Personally, I don't understand anything about this at all, and when I opened MTS-ESP, I was in shock
@@unnplEx Yes hopefully sooner rather than later. I just need to research the theory side of it more. Have you tried Entonal Studio? I found that a lot easier than MTS-ESP
@@eptiar no, I didn't use Entonal Studio, but I will definitely try, thanks for the advice!
Yeah I'd definitely recommend it. It's a lot cheaper too...I think I got it for £60-70? But yeah, I use that to create tunings and then export them into Ableton. I think it's great! Let me know how you find it if you do try it out
I just saw the Renoise “R” in your tray, I would love to see a Renoise tutorial! I used both Renoise and Ableton, but I prefer composing in Renoise for the per step modulation commands. This is cool too though, I want some CDP style Timestretching for Ableton.
I'd love to one day! In all honesty, I'm still pretty new to it so I don't think it'd be best for me to show others how I use it just yet...Maybe soon though?
Will always love tape. Great work mate.
squarepusher next!!!!
Good thinking! I'll start planning it asap
Your channel is rad.thanj you so much for all the content you prepare. Really useful for us. Thank you!
Ah thanks mate! Really appreciate the that ❤️
lovely
Cheers!
Now just add % chance that a note plays for more randomness :P
Exactly! Never ending grooves then <3
I've completely fallen for you, thank you a lot! But man that bassline is a total disaster 😀
Haha thanks but yeah that bass...I'm ashamed...left the preset in the project if anyone wants it though 😅
Apart from the voice thing mentioned, I think it'd be great if you add some amount of limiting to the preview track at the beginnng of the video, so the details are more audible.
Oh cool good idea! I might give it a go. The reason I haven't is because I want the intro to directly reflect what's in the tutorial. I'll definitely try it though and see how it goes
Super cool vids! Pls keep making them !!!
Thank you mate! Will do! Let me know what you might like to see
So Rad- Thanks Brother!
Thanks man!
god damn dude if you fix up the sound these videos would be 100/10, please keep posting this amazing stuff and I guarantee you will be huge!!
Ah thank you so much man! Yeah sorry about the audio. I'm really new to OBS and I swear, every time I boot it up, my audio is completely different. It'll be sorted for the next video!
i like to use voiceofsnow (free abandonware on kvr) for either making something more tonal or more atonal, but i also use ghz lossy and ua specops (esp contrast) for making things spectral and tonal. also stuff like bitcrushing and then compressing, making some quiet stuff clickier and removing noise floor to make chopping sounds easier.
Just checked out voiceofsnow. It's cool! Hadn't heard of it before. I'm hoping to grab metasynth soon so that'll be my new spectral playground
Thank you, i enjoyed a lot 🥰🎶 noise is key for texture
No worries! I'm glad you did enjoy!
Thanks a lot! Will try this technique in a couple of days
No worries! Glad you enjoyed
heyhey
Heyheyhey
nicely put together and presented, cheers fella 🙌
Much appreciated mate! Glad you enjoyed!
Your voice is at a correct volume, but everything else is so in the background, if I turn up the volume and suddenly you speak, your voice almost makes my speakers explode.
Ah fair enough. I'll make sure to fix that for the next video!
thanks man, great work
Thank you!
bro make a video about how to achieve the sound of IDM 90s (like Incunabula)
I'll definitely look into it!
