We have seen over 250 different species of wildlife at our facility over the past 24 years. Here is a glimpse at some of the beautiful faces that we have cared for.

This week we made our tree tower come to life! We learnt about many different animal's habitats and the whole eco-system that surrounds them! The homemade fruit popsicles were also a big hit with the campers. Can't believe there is only one week left of Wild World Camp!!

This week was all about surviving in the wilderness. It has been a lot of fun watching all the new friendships blossoming amongst our campers! A big shout out to Greg Osowski for showing us some key survival skills like how to make shelters (that you can even sleep in during the winter!).

Lots of fun had here at our first week of camp! We fed animals, made walking sticks and bandannas, explored our trails and started a healthy eating garden!

Atlantic Wildlife Institute release of a Great Horned Owl August 31, 2015. Received as an orphaned owlet, this young bird was raised at AWI before being returned to his natural habitat. Help the cause! www.atlanticwildlife.causevox.com

AWI receives orphaned black bear cubs each year for care. Through a 14-18 month process of rehabilitation, the goal is to release them back into their natural habitat as healthy, wild animals. atlanticwildlife.ca

The release of a juvenile Bald Eagle on Feb 2, 2012 at AWI. This bird came in to our facility underweight and unable to fly. A few months of conditioning, and strengthening his flight muscles, he was ready to enjoy his freedom once again. Thank you to all of our supporters for helping us care for this region's wildlife.
