Valuable information. Very good explanation. Thank you very much.
What will happen if reverse signal and the swash plate direction did not change
Thanks for previous response, Chief 😊 And one more thing is- in SCR system we removing only Nox in reactor, regarding Sox we just use appropriate fuel ⛽️ to correspond demands, right? Because, I see that SCR system itself doesn't remove Sox)
@@MaxKharevsky yes . If u don't have compliant fuel will require egcs systems such as scrubber systems fitted at the exhaust
@Newagemarineacademy Thank you very much 😊 🙏
Hi, Man) Thanks for wonderful content ❤. Tell me please Chief, if SCR system is open loop and the second one EGR is closed loop, so no any gases going out to the atmosphere and thus no have EGB and thus Auxiliary boiler running continuously 😮😢?
@@MaxKharevsky irrespective if you hav egr or scr , egb will always there after that. Once u select tier 3 mode, Exhaust goes to scr or egr first then to turbocharger and then to egb.
@Newagemarineacademy Thanks 😊 🙏
Thx from Morocco
Hi, chief I'm a non mech guy, Can you plz just brief what's Pi, Pmax Pcomp And why we need to alter it, Also, of we alter it by manual tuning or auto tuning will it affect the engine,.. And this PMI port is similar to OBD ports in car?
Very nice video sir thank you
Why cylinder oil alpha lubricator is used for lubrication if lube oil is already supplied by LO pumps, Also if both are there, then how it's prevented from intermixing.
@@bt9604 advantage in alpha lubricator systems is cylinder lub oil consumption is less compared to mechanical lubricators. Mixing of servo oil can happen not only lubricator block but also in fuel booster. Which is why in me engines if you see lubricator and fuel booster drawings sealing rings are provided to avoid contamination of servo oil.
@@Newagemarineacademy ok, but LO pumps are there for PCO, I'm confused about their difference, I'm from non tech background, just curious
Sir very nice video thanks a lot

Is it mandatory that the COSCOS time and ships time should the same during Performing M/E performance. I little bit ur pictures are blurred. Personally, for me I like ur videos. Thanks
Thank you. If your vessel is having MAN CEON program where all parameters are exported to MAN & office automatically, then need to set time as advised them. otherwise usually ship's L.T or UTC time.
How MOP makes autotuning for Pcomp?, by altering the moment of closing exhaust valve, it closes the valve earlier, right?
@@MaxKharevsky for pcom u need to giv manual command.
@@NewagemarineacademyMan- this is not an answer 😐 What exactly 🤔 doing electronics so that to increase your Pcomp if you know for example, that you have weak rings and you want a little bit increase it, because I see only one option how program can do it- close exhaust valve earlier, right?
@@MaxKharevsky I have already shown in the video. Whether it is pmax , pcom or pi mop auto tunes by changing current thereby altering the timing of exh valve opening closing and also fuel index.
@@MaxKharevsky by giving current signal. Mop uses the current signal signal to maintain pmax even during normal running wen auto tuning is enabled. The same principle is used wen u give manual command for pcom and pi. This is mentioned in MAN auto tuning and performance procedure for your better understanding.
@@MaxKharevsky also wen u give auto tune command you see the stroke changes both in exhaust valve and in fuel pump depending on the signal.
Hi, Man😊. Why we should manually put offset for pmax, pcomp... etc in 0 before taking performance? Can't we just stop autotuning for the period of taking performance and after put it back?
@@MaxKharevsky continuous auto tuning is for pmax. Not for pcom. If u ping me in channel WhatsApp will send you the procedure as per MAN.
Thank u sir!!!!!!

You said it is having the proportional, how possible if signal is digital, binary, voltage signal...
You mentioned about stroke of cylinder Lubricator..., but how, how Alpha Lubricator changes the stroke of power piston?
@@MaxKharevsky the discussion you intend to have is such I can't explain in this platform. We had to discuss with signal transmission and cylinder lubricator drawing. You can ping me in my channel number. Can discuss in whatsapp
I see on MOP, that D signal going to Alpha Lubricator solenoid valve😮 ( so on/ off control, binary signal) , but I thought it should be analog signal, proportion solenoid controls proportional valve etc, because in this way I don't understand how Alpha Lubricator changes feed rate? If usual solenoid controls power piston , so power piston has only two positions on and off, so I don't understand 😕, can you explain?

I am new in this video. but do have the drawing
Hi warm regards. 👍👍
i am familiar with this maneuver

Sorry, are you sure that during cylinder cut out also need to cut out completely lubricator? Maybe reduce the oil supply 🤔? How possible to switch off lubrication completely 🤔? Anyway, have friction inside so need at least minimum lubrication, right?
Thanks Man) Greetings from Czech Republic 🇨🇿
@@MaxKharevsky thanks... the kind of queries you are asking requires detailed discussion with drawing in hand which is unfortunately not possible in this platform. You can ping me on channel where I can reply to best.
What if there is any difference in load in mop and cocos ? Then what to do ? One is showing 40 and other is showing 45 ....them what to do ?
@@manubkrishnan if the difference is more then you need to go to process adjustment - index calibration - manual fuel index calibration
Then you need to see at which setting pmi power and mop power comes within less than 2 percent range
Thank you.

Nicely explained ... truth facts revealed .. lets pray for each other success ... Bon voyage

Why PMI-DAU is connected with MOPB but not with MOPA ?
@@parthasdasgupta hi...pmi dau output goes to mguard unit. Mguard unit or " switch" is like a network junction box. From there it goes to pmi PC, mops. if you can refer to ME engine network drawing you will b able to see it. If you want the drawing kindly ping in channel WhatsApp number so that I can send you.
I have a question, if the solenoid itself is defective, but the CCU is fine. Then what action you will take ? And how you will make out that the CCU Is defective or the solenoid is defective?
@@parthasdasguptaIn an emcy situation : solenoid can be replaced by a spare if you doubt it. MPC fault can be identified by doing function testing and . Refresh mop and take a CCU export and send SPAF file to tech supt and he will send to MAN. Mostly they are quick in responding. And most probably , the issue would be faulty signal transmission due to vibration the cables loosing firmness. ( In most of the cases which I faced)
Thanks

Hello Sir, when we have set Pmax and Pcomp/Pscav offset to zero in MOP, why is the offet still there in the ME Perfoemance Sheet.
@@apoorva2093 it shouldn't reflect there. Are other values in mop matching? Bcos whatever values in mop automatically gets exported to pmi cocos

WHAT IF THE DIIFERENCE OF FIGURES ARE MORE AND THEN CHIEF ENGINEER REFUSES TO SIGN THE REDELIVERY FIGURE . THEN HOW THIS DISPUTE CAN BE SOLVED WEATHER A NEW SURVEYOR WILL COME ?
Hi. Firstly the reason behind how a significant difference has occured needs to be found out. Multiple reasons may be there....for example voyage related /any changes in cp terms/ any additional intermediate bunkering .... Same like BDN, It is mandatory for Master or CE to sign in delivery/ redelivery papers. if the dispute couldn't be sorted out, usually what we do is to call owner commercial rep and brief him the situation. Then he will discuss with the owners surveyor will advice what best can be done.

Sir I have one doubt stroke is adjusted or frequency of feed is adjusted
hi...our job is to increase or decrease the basic feed rate setting in mop. Accordingly the stroke shall be adjusted automatically.
