I don't know why, but a video of a guy cleaning septic tanks put me down a bit of a rabbit hole, and now I have a fascination with waste water plants. And FUCK the Detroit River!

The guy at the sewer plant told us when they got through with the 💩 water it was cleaner than the river they send it into. We told him to drink some. He wouldn’t.

Yooo Detroit's wastewater treatment process is amazing. Chemical treatment of wastewater is so common in the US that I didn't even know there were good alternatives in use anywhere here.

they should probably make the sewers able to handle these things. because i dont know how many times ive dropped a pill in the sink by accident.
